6. ABOUT US
Lolita Burrell, Chief Operating Officer - Lolita joined forces with Shanda in the
expansion and production of the 2012 conference and will co-produce future Expos.
In recent years, she was honored as a “Woman of theYear” by New Orleans
CityBusiness magazine for spearheading the “New Orleans Does Business Right!
Corporate Governance and Ethics Conference.” Lolita is also an artist and was
named one of “New Orleans Jazz Divas” by Offbeat magazine, in 1999. She graduated
fromTulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business, and is a licensed CPA with 15+ years
of internal auditing experience. She is an alumna and board member of the New Orleans
Regional Leadership Institute.
Shanda Quintal, founder and CEO – In 2009, Shanda founded the Louisiana
Actors Expo, which is now known as the Film Industry Expo. She has been working
in the Louisiana film industry since 1991, before there really was an "industry." She
studied under the renown acting coach Aaron Speiser in Los Angeles for 8 years.
Her theatre credits include "Bess" in the AmericanTheatre Project's 2011 production
of Porgy, and her film credits include A&E's Breakout Kings, and Lifetime's Justice for
Natalee. This fall, she can be seen on HBO's hit series, Treme. She also co-produced the 2010
New Orleans 48 Hour Film Project.
