warehouse, cutting, screen printing, sewing, packaging, shipping, industrial engineering, mechanics,
quality, continuous improvement, inventory control and logistics. In total, I manage over 125 people.
Transform the current manufacturing and organizational structure of the operations area, in order to
modernize it, increase productivity, make it more competitive and cost efficient, and to be aligned with
customer and market demands. This includes, evaluaton and redesign of all productive processes,
equipment, procedures, and organizational structures.

and optimize processes in order to generate savings and increase productivity.
• Responsible for determining production capacities for all productive processes in order
for the customer service department to know how much they can sell and deliver on time.

Without amy induction process, I managed to get the company back on track in only 3
months.
• Production capacity tripled in 6 months.
• Designed a complete “vertical integration” planning system, in order to be able to plan
production, and inform our clients of the status of their orders.
• Re-organized the entire operations areas in order for information to flow better, be more
efficient and productive, and respond better to customer needs.
• Created the Continuous Improvement Department, generating savings of over $1,200,000

project converted our previous production floors into lean manufacturing floors.
Production and quality control greatly improved.

LEMPA SERVICES LTD. ( Fruit Of the Loom – El Salvador ) San Salvador, El Salvador
Process Engineering Manager
January 2001 to February 2003
Design and implement the Process Engineering Department in El Salvador. As a manager, this has been
the most challenging and rewarding job. The challenge was transmitting a completely new philosophy of
continuous process improvement for people to do their work. It was very difficult because people felt we
were trying to find what they were doing wrong, instead of realizing that our objective was to get them
involved in looking for ways to make their processes more stable, predictable and efficient.
Obtained a certification as a “Black Belt” in Six Sigma.
Design and implementation of the Process Engineering Department.
Design and implementation of a training plan so that this 5-step process improvement
methodology reached all levels of the company.
Implement the methodology to determine KPI’s for all processes in the company.
Consolidate high performance, multi-disciplinary teams to deploy successful process
improvements throughout all manufacturing facilities.
Redesigned and improved many processes which resulted in important savings for the
company.
ADDITIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY IN SALES
Completing the process of reviving an “idle” company, and redirecting it to adapt to the new
sales operation.
From start to completion, the set up, planning, and execution of the sales project only took 9
months. In a company like Fruit of the Loom this is record time.
Utilizing a process engineering approach to analyze our customers in order to design an
efficient and expedite service plan. In the case of supermarkets, we reduced our delivery time
from 6 hours to 2 hours.
Devised the strategy to start operations in the rest of Central America.
ADDITIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY IN SPECIAL PROJECTS
Negotiated better energy consumption tariffs and obtained a 6% overall discount which
resulted in a savings of US $100,000 per year.
Fixed prices for six months with vendors of key manufacturing supplies. This resulted in
considerable savings for the company.
Identified governmental incentive opportunities for the company, and obtained incentives in
the amount of US $ 300,000.

agenda of diverse topics with different government offices that impact the core business
aspects of the company.
