seriously damaged or destroyed by the troops of
the Russian Federation. UNESCO World Heritage
sites in Ukraine are under threat of destruction.

The Vasyl Stus Library of Ukrainian Literature is a public library operating at the Church of St.
Peter the Tomb and the Dormition Cathedral in Mariupol.
Russians burned the entire library collected by volunteers. Among the publications were
several unique copies of Ukrainian-language publications, which have now been destroyed.
The Church of St. Peter the Tomb was built with the support of the townspeople and is
included in the Book of Records of Ukraine, which contains the largest Petrikovsky painting.

Ukraine, librarians have helped the
Ukrainian defenders and the civilian
population using their knowledge and
skills.
Public libraries in Ukraine's cities and
villages contribute their share of work to
the approaching victory: librarians weave
camouflage nets, package humanitarian
aid, take an active part in informing IDPs,
and help collect food and necessary things
for them.
