 Motivation is the attitude towards the
accomplishment of a task.
 It involves a combination of effort, wishes to
learn and a positive attitude. Because of that,
attitude and motivation are directly related.

We can distinguish
between two types
of motivation

External
Motivation

Internal Motivation
 Children are more motivated to learn English and retain knowledge
when presented with music, games and total physical response
activities.
 We must try to maintain a fun and happy learning environment.
 Activities should be varied and motivating.
 Teach English with songs(Head, shoulder, knees and toes

 Include a wide variety of games and activities (movement games, group
games, whole class activities, activities with plasticine…)
