ZN conducted a survey about digital, science and communication. The key findings have been summarized in this slideshow. Social media and digital cannot be added as an afterthought, they need to be an integral part of any communication strategy. NGOs have long understood this and it is fundamental institutions and companies adapt their ‘press release’ communication approach to one that is more in touch with the way their target audience is currently absorbing the news. This is the only way fake news around scientific topics can be battled successfully.
