Bulgaria has a compulsory education system between ages 7-16 divided into two school terms. It includes pre-primary education, primary/basic education, and higher education options like specialized higher schools, universities, and colleges. Specialized higher schools focus on one or more areas of science, art, or sports indicated in their name.
