Card Catalogs
There was a time when every item in the
library had a single card with information
such as title, publisher, location in the
library, etc. The cards were kept together in
little file drawers called the “card catalog.”
3. Online Library Catalog
Today, most libraries have
catalogs online, although you
still may hear them referred to
as “card catalogs.”
