2. • Fashion itself is a reflection of social, economic, political and cultural
changes. It expresses modernity, symbolizing the spirit of the times.
• Fashion from movies affects the social aspects of life. According to
Luciana Zegheanu, fashion causes changes in social, economic and
political landscapes. Often people use what they see in movies to
create their own unique looks, expressing their creativity. Fashion also
has negative impacts.
• There are some categories where we understand how fashion goes i.e.
• Fashion icons
• Fashion leaders
• Fashion followers
• Fashion victims and
• Fashion laggards.

Audrey Hepburn makes the
iconic film fashion list
twice, thanks to her classically
chic Breakfast at
Tiffany's ensemble designed
by Hubert de Givenchy.
Even if you haven't seen the
movie, you've probably seen
Audrey's glamorous style that
made the little black dress a
staple in every woman's closet
across America: oversized
sunglasses, pearls, black
evening gloves, a tiara, and a
black cocktail dress.

influences on Indian fashion
was Madhubala’s anarkali
attire in Mughal-e-
Azam (1960) which consisted
of long flowing churidars and
kurtas.
Jaggi ,Habib Mirza and B.N.
Trivedi were the costume
designer of this dress.
The anarkali kameez is
popular even today, around
50 years after the film was
released, every celebrity and
even commoners love to
wear this attire.
