§ Level 2 PACU/ Critical Care/Adult and Pediatric
§ Assist in a variety of procedures along with piloting radial access for tumor embolization, radiation and
chemotherapy.
§ Responsible for initial assessments, line access, blood draws and agents required for embolization and
stroke intervention. Administer mild to moderate conscious sedation. Closely monitor vital signs and
assess for acute changes during crucial moments of the procedure.
§ Part of the forward movement and collaboration for Mount Sinai to become one of the first designated
Stroke Centers in New York City. I assist in procedures to treat and prevent strokes with state of the art
equipment. On call for strokes, bleeds and other emergent events.
§ Working closely in procedures with Dr. Alejandro Berenstein, Director of the Pediatric Cerebrovascular
Program at Mount Sinai to treat head, neck and peripheral vascular lesions such as Vein of Galen
Malformations, Spinal cord AVM’s and maxillofacial vascular lesions.
§ Identify and manage life threatening post–op and anesthetic complications. Assist with patients who
require monitoring systems, i.e. ventilators, evd drains, arterial lines, chest tubes and pre-procedure
intubation.
§ Monitor patients that are post cerebral angiogram for neurological changes and arterial bleeding. As
well as provide discharge and educational teaching to patients and family.
