The Co-Operative Food business has approximately 3000 stores and the biggest geographical spread of any retailer.
The store at Gobowen is 1900 square feet and serves as the only supermarket in the local community.
Store Manager
 Responsible for store KPI’s.
 Monitoring waste and sales targets.
 Managing a team of 20 plus full and part time staff.
 Responsible for all staff training and health and safety.
 Control and monitoring of all legal compliance measures such as temperature control and date code
checks.
 Personal licence holder and DPS for the store.
 Support other stores with disciplinaries.
 Aid in refit of stores within area and the conversion to “simple standard stores” an initiative to
streamline productivity within store to improve shopping experience and better customer service
Key Achievements:
 Exceeded waste and sales targets year on year growth at 6.1% on sales.
 Turned store around from a 40K a week to 50k a week within the first year.
 Customer service exit score 8.9 out of 10 one of the highest scores in the region and the highest in the area.

The store at Pant is just over 1000 square feet and is a small local convenience store with a post office attached

 Increased store turnover from 10k to 20K turning the store form a loss making business to profit.
 Exceeded unit contribution by 12%.
 Customer service exit score went from worst score in the area to the best.
 Local customer perception of store improved dramatically as evidenced by increased sales, I did this by
incorporating produce back into store so that the customers were able to get what they needed.

The store at Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury is 1400 square feet and is a local convenience store.

daily editions. I was responsible for the At Your Service Feature of the Telford Journal.
