Worked on maintenance and support of Wal-Mart’s Pharmacy application built to cater to its business
needs. It is used at pharmacy stores by pharmacists and technicians. This application covers all the
business processes involved in US pharmacy ranging from prescription drop-off till customer pick up
Production tickets assigned to Pharmacy support team would be taken up for analysis and closure.
Normally, these tickets are related to day-to-day problems faced by technicians and pharmacists with Rx,
fills, orders and other maintenance information. This project covers all the data fixes, enhancements,
performance analysis/improvements and procedures related to Pharmacy systems
Also, worked on ‘Specialty system’ application domain of Wal-mart. This mainly included support and
enhancements to Optical, Jewellery, Tire and Lube applications.
Merchandise Order Management system (OMS) for Apparels: This project involved development and
enhancement of web and windows applications used by buyers, suppliers and order specialists in
Apparel domain. This OMS tool allows apparel merchants to systematically change the store/quantity
information based on the latest information available. With the enhancements provided, the tool
increased its efficiency from 75% to 95%.
Other enhancements were done on Dynamic Store Collection and Assortment Detail applications to help
buyers plan merchandise accurately for new stores. This development gave an edge to reduce the
overstocking of merchandise for new stores by over 90%.

operate in all states in US and Canada along with some Central and South American countries.

The project involved development and enhancement of applications and included globalization of

Central and Latin America stores upgrade: This project involved upgrading the CASA (Central and South
American) stores from IBM POS systems to faster Global Store systems. They were migrated to Fujitsu
POS. It involved creating new custom images for 9 countries. The image was built on a layered
architecture giving a flexibility to adapt to any new upcoming stores in different countries. This was
implemented using Agile methodology.
