Born in Worcester to Cecil Martin Potgieter and Louise Letitia Jordaan. My parents both were born and came from Kimberley. We returned there once my father had finished his architectural degree at UCT. My three brothers were born in Kimberley and my father worked for a small architectural firm. One of his highlights was designing a church in Ritchie for the local people. When I was 8 years old we came to Cape Town and I attended Greenfield girls primary and then Westerford high school(class of 79)My father worked for Louis Karol Architects for many years and was an associate.
