7. The advantages of having an aluminium mast opposed to a galvanised
steel mast are :-
• Ambient conditions require aluminium opposed to galvanised steel.
This is because if a galvanised steel mast is struck by lightning once the
galvanising would create pit marks where rust can permeate and in next
to no time the mast will rust and eventually be structurally unsafe.
• Aluminium being a much lighter commodity than steel affords the
installation to be a lot simpler leading to a less expensive installation.
Future maintenance would be far easier.
• A steel mast you would have to have mechanical equipment to lower
and erect the mast whereas a few people can quite easily drop or erect
the aluminium mast with relevant ease
• In most instances Insurance will not cover dwellings that have thatched
roofs unless there is a lightning protection mast.
These masts are available in any height up to 24 meters.
8. This balustrade system has been designed
to make quick and easy installation
possible.
Pre-assembled stanchions to provide for
easy installation facility.
All you have to do is rawl-bolt or
chemical anchor stud the stanchions into
floor with even spacing's.
Pop rivet the top rail and loosen stainless
steel screws on rail clamps on side of
stanchion, thread through your
intermediate rails and tighten. (There are
ribs on the inside of clamp that crimp
and tighten the intermediate rail in place
to prevent it from movement or twisting).
Job is now complete.
Any person that can use a tape measure,
pop rivet gun, screwdriver, level and drill
will be qualified to install this simple
installation.
