As the STEM field continues to grow, more trained professionals are needed to work in areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. There are only a limited number of students, however, who are interested in studying such topics. Find out how KUKA Robotics' KORE Program is providing high school and college students with the opportunity to study robotics.

  3. 3. According to the US Department of Education, more STEM education is needed in order for America to remain a global leader. Only 16% of 12th graders are proficient in math and interested in the STEM field.
  4. 4. STEM job opportunities, however, continue to grow. Science and engineering career opportunities grow at an average annual rate of 3.3%, compared to 1.5% for all other jobs. Employment in science and engineering fields is expected to grow 18.7% by 2020. In 2012, the median salary in the science and engineering fields was $78,270. For all other occupations, it was $34,750.
