3. Teams - Chat
Chat is where one on one, or group
conversations happen. It’s as simple
as typing the name of an individual
and clicking their name to initiate a
session with them.
Once you have a single person
added to the session, others can be
added by clicking on the icon in the
upper right-hand corner (Add
People).
You can see the individual’s status
by the circle next to their name.
Green means available, Orange is
away, and Black means offline.

6. Teams - Teams
This area is similar to Facebook style
posts, where anyone can post pretty
much anything in a “channel”. If you
are subscribed to the channel through
notifications, you’ll see those posts
pop-up on your screen like you would
for Chat messages.
This would be great for company wide
notifications of events or if you want
to limit it to just your department, you
can create a post within your own
Team area.
Be sure to check out the Channel
notifications to receive updates for
the channels you are interested in.

10. Teams - Calls
If you have the need for an
extended conversation with
someone and email, chat and the
phone are not convenient; Teams
has a really neat feature that allows
you to voice / video chat others in
real time.
The best part about the Calls feature
is it allows you to conference in
others. Rather than meeting in a
room, you can have multiple people
on a call just by clicking on show
participants and then typing their
name in the people box that shows
up.
