I assisted the store manager by having 3-5 Leader on Duty shifts per week. This
included opening and closing the store. I was responsible for 25 to 80 team
members and expected to maintain payroll, sales floor fill, guest satisfaction, team
member productivity and safety for the store as a whole. I was in charge of
interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and developing, coaching and giving
performance reviews to team members. I continuously stepped outside of my area
in order to support all areas of the store to ensure a smooth operation.
In addition to the Senior Team Leader position, I had a dual role as the Team
Leader over Softlines. Responsibilities included managing a team of 10, which
included the fitting room and the sales floor. I completely revamped all of the
processes, so that they would be in compliance of best practice. I interviewed and
hired new team members and was responsible for their training, development and
performance. I completed weekly visual adjacencies by Thursday of each week,
which included resetting tables and walls that hold merchandise. I was also
responsible for the A Markdown Score and reduced the score by 5% within the
first year in position.

I was responsible for maintaining the relationship between Starbucks and Target
by staying in compliance with their agreement of processes. I maintained weekly
2. ordering, monitored sales and guest surveys for both companies. I set up signing
and new sets for upcoming promotions. I hired new team members and was
responsible for their orientation, training, development and performance, as well
as, ensured that they maintained compliance at all times. I maintained a great
relationship with the district manager of Starbucks and held monthly sales
meetings to evaluate progress.

I started out with Target as a cashier, which included ringing sales for guests and
ensuring they experienced a fast, fun and friendly checkout. After six months, I
moved to the Planogram team, which included resetting areas of the store in order
for guests to have a better variety of products. After three years, I moved back to
the front as the Guest Service Attendant/Cash Office Specialist. In this position, I
counted the daily sales, processed checks and credit slips and balanced the safe.
Other responsibilities included assisting nice and difficult guests, as well as,
ensuring the front end of the store was Target brand. As a GSA, I was in charge of
all cashiers, guest service and the snack bar. This included making sure their area
was brand and ensuring that they had their breaks and lunches on time.
