1. Don’t leave your baby empty handed! Leave a baby bottle full of water, not milk or
juice, in the crib for him when he goes to sleep. Milk, juice, and other beverages that
contain sugar can cause tooth decay.
2. Got braces? Think of what you’ll like after they’re off! So, brush them well and don’t
forget to floss!
3. Do you know how easy it is to take care of your braces? Eat soft and small foods, brush
and floss every day, and see your dentist regularly. That’s it!
4. Are you having problems chewing that piece of meat? Cut it into very small bite sizes to
make it easier.
5. Here’s a glass of water! Moisten that palette!
6. Is cancer treatment making it difficult for you to swallow? Cut your food into small
pieces and try pureeing or liquefying your fruit and veggies.
7. Ouch! You have a toothache! Rinse your mouth out with warm water and put a warm
compress on your cheek to help the pain. Don’t forget the ibuprofen.
8. Wisdom teeth are the smartest teeth in the bunch. That’s because they appear when you
and your brain have matured to adulthood.
9. Did you know that in the Seventeenth century wisdom teeth were called teeth of wisdom?
10. Does your baby have the baby bottle blues? Slowly wean him off of milk and juice at
bedtime by adding water little by little over the course of 2-3 weeks.
