and/or library systems establishes by formal agreement,
usually for, the purpose of resource sharing. Membership
may be restricted to a specific geographic region, type of
library or subject specialization.

7. Network - as a group of physically discrete computers inter-connected to
allow resources to be shared and data exchanged, usually by means of tele-
