This document discusses issues with how DEA weights are often incorrectly calculated and proposes solutions. It summarizes models for assessing non-homogeneous organizations that engage in multiple activities. This includes a model that separates the assessment of different activities like teaching and research. Examples are given of applying this model to organizations like universities with separate activities and schools with different age group configurations.
