Senior Manager of Revolving Credits – Double the Portfolio Program
Scotia Bank has embarked on an ambitious roadmap to double the Credit Card accounts, transactions and its
revenue within a short period of time. I was appointed as the Sr. Manager of the Program to manage the
technology execution in support of the business objectives. My scope of work included the current state
definition and opportunity assessments; IT delivery alignments with business enhancements and new product
launch; Program execution and financial managements; End to End Infrastructure build up in support of the
volume increase, etc.
• Within the first 2 months, I documented the entire eco systems for cards processing in the bank which involved 120 internal
applications and 20 external vendors. It served as a blue print for the system aggregation and process optimization for both
business & IT roadmaps.
• In the next 3 months, I ratified major project management gaps on an in-flight project, successfully delivered the first Product
launch of the program.

Senior Manager of Payment Solutions - Global Transactional Banking
Manage the build and operation of corporate Payment processing systems. Responsibilities include planning
and managing the deliverables of technology team & support team. Define functional and system strategic
roadmaps, and managing to their successful implementations. Negotiate & approve multi-million $ vendor
contracts. Manage the execution of critical IT Project & operational investments.
One of my key achievements in this organization was to orchestrate and deploy a 5 year re-platform program
to revamp the Enterprise Payments Applications. Currently, 3 years into the program, the interim result had
shown a 90% reduction in both time and cost of customer onboarding process (from 5 weeks to 3 days). The
end result is expected to further reduce the total cost of ownership by aggregating 15 application servers into a
single application of 5 servers. Improve system processing time from 5 transactions per second to 300
transactions per second. The business results were astonishing, with 1,500 new corporate customer
enrollments within 18 months of initial deployment compare to 400 total customers in 6 years with the legacy
systems.
I was also engaged in establishing a strategic global payments platform program, the objective was to expand
payment processing to 36 countries involve $60 million investment over 5 years
Responsibilities:
• Manage 20 + developers & project managers with a mix of market consultants, offshore delivery team and FTE
• Develop opportunities for business & operational initiatives, secure funding and manage complete SDLC
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to derive a reusable and agile system platform
• Develop application and infrastructure roadmaps aligning to product evolutions and market demands
• Continuously drive the simplification of payments processing and improve transparency
• Work closely with business product owners to explore new payments formats, trends and methods

Rogers is one of the largest telecom providers in Canada. IT Wireless Platform Management is a group that
oversees all wireless related technology initiatives in the organization. I managed project teams from across
different functional areas to ensure results aligned with the corporate strategies (i.e. iPhone 3 launch, Fido
rebranding, IVR systems, etc). I was also responsible for improving and stabilizing the core IT platforms
during major Business and IT transformation.
One of my key achievements in this organization was the launch of iPhone 3 for the Canadian market. The
initiative was challenging due to the confidentiality agreement with Apple and historical system failures on
launch day due to extreme volume spike. I managed the end to end product offering: everything from
inventory distribution, to special service plans and POS system changes (in store, online and IVR). The launch
was a spectacular success, with only isolated connectivity issues, but overall 99.9 % system uptime through the
first 3 days of the peak demand.

Q-Dog studio provides pet grooming, day care and online food ordering services. I managed the operation as a
side business and hired groomers and store clerks to provide day to day services to our customers. Having a

One of my key achievements in this organization was to orchestrate and deploy a 5 year re-platform program to revamp the Enterprise Payments Applications. Currently, 3 years into the program, the interim result had shown a 90% reduction in both time and cost of customer onboarding process (from 5 weeks to 3 days). The end result is expected to further reduce the total cost of ownership by aggregating 15 application servers into a single application of 5 servers. Improve system processing time from 5 transactions per second to 300 transactions per second. The business results were astonishing, with 1,500 new corporate customer enrollments within 18 months of initial deployment compare to 400 total customers in 6 years with the legacy systems.
