Google began in March 1996 as a research
project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Ph.D.
students at Stanford University.
It was first named as ‘backrub’ because the

Google’s Panda Update is a search filter introduced in
February 2011.Also called farmer update
It meant to stop sites with poor quality content from
working their way into Google’s top search results.
This algorithm specifically targets sites that are low

Poorly written content
Content copied from other sites
Content that’s not useful
