2. Solution Overview
 Decisive Care Connect:
• Replaces traditional static physician searches based on specialty and
location
• Joins provider characteristics with billing data and clinical documentation
so that
• Providers can search for the experience and skill sets their patients need
• Patients can identify caregivers whose values match their own

3. Usability and Design: Technologies
Decisiv Care Connect brings together:
 Patient and provider records from Allscripts Sunrise and
Allscripts Professional EHRs, with
 Recommind’s CORE® (Context Optimized Relevancy Engine)
• CORE takes unstructured healthcare data such as progress notes and
feeds it through Recommind’s Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analysis
(PLSA) tools, including concept grouping, entity extraction and
categorization
• The structured information thus created is combined with coded clinical
data such as problems to create an enriched clinical information set

4. Usability and Design: Workflow
 Patient and provider records are extracted nightly from the EHRs of
participating providers, indexed, and made available within Decisiv Care
Connect
 Physicians access Care Connect through a link from Sunrise or Enterprise
Professional
 Patients access Care Connect through the patient portal or website of the
physician office, hospital or health system
 Providers and patients search based on condition or treatment, using either
standard medical terminology or lay descriptions
 Standard search terms such as gender, specialty and language are also
available

 Relevant patient information summarized by provider
 Select a provider record to display additional profile data
along with characteristics that match the search
 Providers:
• Review results with patients
• Generate the referral
 Patients: use the results to contact caregivers for more

8. Go to Market Plans
 Decisiv Care Connect is intended primarily for health systems,
hospitals, and large multi-specialty physician practices
 Since the application will be accessed by patients through
either the provider’s website or the patient portal we expect to
go to market through our EHR partners; supplemented by direct
sales by Recommind.
 Pricing has not yet been determined but is expected to be in
line with similar applications we have developed for other
industries
