Rutaceae
● This family is an important family as the
members of this family yield fruits ,oils and
medicines .
● It is however ,of less significance of foresters

● Citrus paradisi (grape fruit)

5. Condiments -
● Several species of Zanthoxylum are used as a
condiments .
● Murraya koenigii leaves are used in flavouring
curry ,especially in South India .
● Fruit of Fagara budrunga is used as a
condiments .

● Oil obtained from fruit of Z.limonella is antiseptic
and disinfectant.
● The root of Z. nitidum are used in toothache .
● Toddalia asiatica is used for the treatment of

● Fruit of C. sinensis is widely used during illness,it
purifies blood and reduces thirst .
