Presentation for Personal Development / Lesson 1 - Know Thyself

Many people feel great urgency these days around personal growth. They want to become better human beings and want to change something in their life. Realizing that life is not satisfactory, that the necessary fulfillment and happiness lacks, that we are not at peace with life, is the first step to a new awareness. An awareness that questions our former values, beliefs and ideas of life. And we come to the conclusion that everything we considered as important in our life is indeed meaningless.

  5. 5. Invictus (1875) Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.
