What is ASCII ?
ASCII Is an Industry standard c:ode, developed by the
American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and published
In 1963.
ASCII is a seven-bit code (a range of O to 127 decimal)
which assigns a binary value to letters, numbers, and other
characters. (Nowadays most computer work with 6bit-code. which
can represent 256 different values)
ASCII codes represent text and control characters In
computers, communications equipment, and other devices
that work with text.
o Most computers use ASCll codes to represent text, which
makes It possible to transfer data from one computer to
another.
D Computers can internally manage only binary data
like Os (zeros) and ls (ones).
D Computer use an ASCIT table to convert binary data
Into letters or characters, so we can see visually.
