52. IS CANCER 100% CURABLE???????
YES…….…IF DETECTED EARLY!!!!
Early detection of cancer is very
important because at the time
when cancer start developing in
human body, in most of the
cancer cases depending on the
type of cancer it doesn’t show any
early symptoms like Jaundice,
Malaria, etc..
And also if cancer is detected and
treated at the early stage then it
is 100% curable.

diagnosed or deaths due to cancer aren't
registered, making the situation more alarming

59. Anupam Khanna, 38, Delhi. Type of cancer: Colorectal. HR
professional: She thought she had piles or fissure but an early
colonoscopy revealed cancer in early 2009. A surgery removed the
organ a few months later and she has been cancer-free since. Except
for swimming, there isn't much she can't do now. 'It was not easy. But I
am alive, for myself, my husband and two sons.'

63. PROPER DIAGNOSIS
Recognizing possible warning signs
of cancer and taking prompt action
leads to early diagnosis.
Early diagnosis is particularly
relevant for cancers of the breast,
cervix, mouth, larynx, colon and
rectum, and skin.
Screening is the presumptive
identification of unrecognized
disease or defects by means of
tests, examinations, or other
procedures that can be applied
rapidly.
It does not mean that they lived for exactly 5 years and then died. It does not mean that they were all cured of their cancer. Some of them will be cured. Some will have already had a recurrence of their cancer, but still be alive. Some will get a recurrence after the 5 year period.
