The Faraday Battery Challenge, in partnership with KTN, bring you a series of seminars on defining subjects for the future electrification of transport and other sectors.
The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre is going to be open for business later this year.
The £129m facility – the only one of its type in the world – will be used by companies and organisations with a promising new battery technology or design that they want to scale-up so long as that technology can bring growth to the UK. The technology will be at least as good as that found in any of the battery ‘Gigafactories’ being built across the globe, and will support the growth of electric vehicles and fast-track battery technology for use in rail, aerospace, industrial equipment, automotive, off highway and static energy storage.
Hear Jeff Pratt, Managing Director at the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre speak about the facility and why scale-up is key to fast tracking the development of cost-effective, high-performance, durable, safe, low-weight and recyclable batteries.
