Located behind the chair of Saint
Peter, otherwise known as the first
Bishop of Rome. The dove of the
holy spirit is encased in a gilt
bronze frame surrounded by
angels and rays of light. The work
forms an important part of the
Catholic faith and occupies a
central space in St Peters basilica.

3. ST CUTHBERT'S CHURCH
This window, situated in a north
Yorkshire church illustrates the arrival
of the railway into the town and is a
comparatively recent addition to the
historically rich building.

4. T R A N S F I G U R AT I O N W I N D O W
Unveiled in 2010 the
transfiguration window in
Durham Cathedral was
created to honour former
Bishop of Durham, Michael
Ramsey. The beautifully
intricate window was
designed and made by Tom
Denny.

5. BISHOPS EYE WINDOW
The Bishops Eye window can be found in Lincoln Cathedral and was rebuilt in
1325 after it was smashed in the English Revolution.

6. E A S T W I N D OW, W I N C H E L S E A C H U RC H
The east window is the central
focus in the Winchelsea church in
East Sussex. It is estimated that
this particular window was
completed in 1933 and was
commissioned by Lord
Blanesborough, along with a
number of other windows in the
church.

7. B AT T L E O F B R I TA I N
This memorial window located in
the iconic Westminster Abbey was
unveiled in 1947, however the
original window was damaged in
1940 when a German bomb
blasted into the church during
World War II.
