Psychologist/Counselor for the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute at Queens College. Please do not let my
married name fool you as I have a close relationship with my Italian American family and identify closely with the Italian
American experience. As Vice President of Unico, I have taken an oath to be of service to my Italian American brothers and
sisters as well as propagate our heritage to the best of my being.
As a dual certified School Psychologist and Substance Awareness Coordinator, I have devoted my career to helping
students of diverse populations succeed, supporting their academic, social, behavioral and emotional needs.

 Coordinates and analyzes educational and personal data for success in higher educational settings.

A+ For Kids Disseminator Grant Award Recipient
Created and led the Helping Other People Express program (H.O.P.E.),
a ground breaking initiative that delivered peer counseling through the Rogerian Process.

Presently serving as the S.A.C. in the Woodrow Wilson Middle School, which serves 1,500 students.
Responsibilities include the identification and referral of students under the influence.
Serves as coordinator of the School Safety Committee, INRS Committee, as well as coordinator of the Peer Mediation
Program.
Substance Awareness Coordinator
West New York Public Schools
 Serves as the S.A.C for the West New York Elementary (5) and Middle School. Involved with the
consistent identification and referral of students who are suspected of being under the influence.
 Implemented group counseling and training of staff members.
 Created a project involving the Alternative Program which warranted a citation from the Assistant Superintendent
of Schools.
School Psychologist and Substance Awareness Coordinator
Hoboken Board of Education, Hoboken, NJ 2009 to 2012
As case manager, improved the delivery of crisis intervention, information and referral services (I&RS) and in-services for
drug and alcohol prevention for a diverse population of 1,600 students
Highlighted Accomplishments Substance Awareness Coordinator
 Appointed as District S.A.C coordinator; identified and acted as liason for students under the influence and managed
and taught evidence based programs at all levels.
 Developed and implemented a new school based drug and alcohol referral system; delivered teacher education for
