This proposal outlines a clothing line project called "Whited" aimed at unisex teenagers. The student has skills in art and design from previous projects and wants to improve upon a clothing line they designed last year. The concept involves character designs that will be translated to t-shirts through detailed linework and shading. Research will include analyzing how other brands like Nike design and market clothing lines. Progress will be evaluated by comparing designs to last year's work and the designs of an actual clothing company. The 10-week schedule outlines tasks from initial research to final evaluations and development.

Teen streetwear clothing line proposal
1. Proposal
1
Working Title: Whited
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience: My primary audience is unisex teenagers as it will appeal more towardsthem as
its more street/casual wear that teenagers would usually wear in general. My primary social
status is needs driven and psychographic is middle class as my clothing fits both of those
category’s the most and goes well with their style. Although these are primary anyone will
be able to wear the clothing.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words); throughout the year I have done many artworks and design
people. I do artwork almost everyday and have used it in previous projects. An example of
when I used my artwork skills was the magazing project. The entire magazine was
completely hand drawn by me not including the ingame screenshots. My choice towards
this project was a very easy decision. As I did the level 2 of this course last year I also did a
clothing line. My main goal is to improve what I did last year and compare to myself my
progress in a years time
Review your progress throughout the year- what skills and knowledge have you acquired?
How has the subjects you have studied this year informed your choice for this project?
What have you studied and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words); my concept of my project circles around a character.
As I know how much time I have with this project I know I cant go full on with what I have to
do and some ideas have to be cut. The idea to add a bunch of colour to all my designs
would overall take too much time and id never get it done in time. So I decided to cut the
colour and work purely on linework and shading. These will be high detailed designs and
will be made specifically for tshirts. Last year I just made designs and didn’t think of how
they go on clothing. This time my main focus is how they go on my clothing and how it all
fits together. This will make my clothing line more professional which overall is the main
reason for making the project. The research I would need to make is how other companies
make their clothing line. An example of a clothing brand to look into would be nike. As they
are very similar to my idea with the constant use of their tick logo.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
Evaluation (approx. 50 words); I plan to evaluate my work with my old designs last year and how
different/improved they have become. I would also compare it to an actual clothing company. This
shows how I have improved with my designs and how much better it is towards an actual
company.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final
self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
