II. Why become a Public Representative?
1 Representative Reward
• P-Reps will gain Block Production and Verification Reward as well as Representative Rewards.
• The reward amount is decided based on the I_rep variable, sum of the operation cost and profit, and the P (ICX Price) variable, which reflects the
external environments.
• The value of the variables is decided as the stake-weighted average of submission by the 22 Main P-Reps through the On-Chain Governance
System.

• Reward for each block production and
verification
• The top 22 Main P-Reps acquire by
producing and verifying blocks
• Reward provided proportional to the
delegated amount
• The top 100 Main & Sub P-Reps acquire
the reward as a proportion of one’s
delegated amount

• ICON Network has high potential value driven by various IISS-based on-chain systems such as EEP, DBP, and Interchain
• EEP : Community activities to propose and implement projects on various topics such as network development, education, investment, community expansion, token
economy development, and earn rewards in return for carrying them out.
• DBP : DApp services will become more accessible to the users through DApp store. By incentivizing DApps with delegation rewards by their ranking, the ICON
Network will be more widely used.
• Interchain : Heterogeneous blockchains of different industries such as finance, insurance, education, and healthcare, will be connected and create synergic effect in
business expansion.
• As the fundamental component of the ICON Network, P-Reps lead the initial growth stage of the network and create various business opportunities
as the network matures

1.Whatis'P-RepPre-registration’?
- The registration period is divided into two stages: 'P-Rep Pre-registration' and 'P-Rep On-Chain Registration'. During 'P-Rep Pre-registration', candidates can register in off-chain environment via
ICON.Community and receive various benefits. This stage will last until September 2019.
2.Whatis'P-RepOn-ChainRegistration’?
- 'P-Rep On-Chain Registration' will begin in 4Q. At that time, P-Rep candidates will need to submit basic information (P-Rep name, team introduction, e-mail, URL) and node information (Node IP,
Node Port) on the ICON Network to be registered.
3.WhatarethetermsofbecomingaP-Rep?
- There is no minimum requirement to register as a P-Rep. However, in order to become a Main P-Rep who can create and verify blocks, one must be delegated with at least 0.2%of the total ICX
circulation volume.
- The ranking will be updated every 24 hours to guarantee sufficient time for P-Reps to propose governance policy.
4.Whendoestheelectionend?
- The election will effectively conclude as the 22ndP-Rep gets elected. ICON network will move into its first phase of decentralization, operated by the Genesis P-Reps.
5.DoIhavetostakeICXtorunasaP-Repcandidate?
- A minimal amount of P-Rep registration fee is needed but extra ICX staking is not required.

  • 5. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 5 . II. Why become a Public Representative? 1 Representative Reward • P-Reps will gain Block Production and Verification Reward as well as Representative Rewards. • The reward amount is decided based on the I_rep variable, sum of the operation cost and profit, and the P (ICX Price) variable, which reflects the external environments. • The value of the variables is decided as the stake-weighted average of submission by the 22 Main P-Reps through the On-Chain Governance System. Block Production and Verification Reward I_rep P Representative Reward • Reward for each block production and verification • The top 22 Main P-Reps acquire by producing and verifying blocks • Reward provided proportional to the delegated amount • The top 100 Main & Sub P-Reps acquire the reward as a proportion of one’s delegated amount
  • 6. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 6 . II. Why become a Public Representative? 1 Representative Reward • The table below is an example based on the initial setting value of the ICON Network. The estimated cost and profit can be found. [자료 1] I_rep and P derivation * Aboveis an examplestatedin the IISS Yellowpaper, and the valuesare subjectto changeby consensusamongP-Reps. I_rep Element Sub-element Value Explanation Operation Cost Server Cost $ 2,500 per month Based on AWS specification recommended by HR Cost $ 9,500 per month 3 part-time server engineers (monthly salary $ 2,375 ) Profit Rate 25% Estimated profit rate of a P-Rep Total $ 15,000 per Operation Cost x (1 + Profit Rate) = $ 12,000 x P Element Value Explanation Market Price of ICX $ 0.25 -
  • 7. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 7 . II. Why become a Public Representative? 1 Representative Reward • Below is an example of rewards decided by I_rep and P assuming that 20% of ICX circulation is delegated. Scenario Type Value Explanation If 2% of ICX circulation delegated to a Main P- Block Production and 30,000 ICX per month Representative Reward 60,000 ICX per month Total 90,000 ICX per month (= $ 22,500) If 3% of ICX circulation delegated to a Main P- Block Production and 30,000 ICX per month Representative Reward 90,000 ICX per Total 120,000 ICX per month (= $ 30,000) = 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑝 × 1 2 𝑃 = 15,000 × 1 2 0.25 = 30,000 = 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑝 × 1 2 × 100 𝑃 × 𝐷𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑅𝑎𝑡𝑒 = 15,000 × 1 2 × 100 0.25 × 0.02 = 60,000 = 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑝 × 1 2 𝑃 = 15,000 × 1 2 0.25 = 30,000 = 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑝 × 1 2 × 100 𝑃 × 𝐷𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑅𝑎𝑡𝑒 = 15,000 × 1 2 × 100 0.25 × 0.03 = 120,000
  • 8. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 8 . II. Why become a Public Representative? 2 • ICON Network has high potential value driven by various IISS-based on-chain systems such as EEP, DBP, and Interchain • EEP : Community activities to propose and implement projects on various topics such as network development, education, investment, community expansion, token economy development, and earn rewards in return for carrying them out. • DBP : DApp services will become more accessible to the users through DApp store. By incentivizing DApps with delegation rewards by their ranking, the ICON Network will be more widely used. • Interchain : Heterogeneous blockchains of different industries such as finance, insurance, education, and healthcare, will be connected and create synergic effect in business expansion. • As the fundamental component of the ICON Network, P-Reps lead the initial growth stage of the network and create various business opportunities as the network matures ICON Network Block creation and validation rewards Project proposaland executionrewards DApp development rewards EEP Ecosystem Expansion Project Reps (C-Rep/P-Rep) DBP DApp Booster Program INTERCHAIN Connecting different blockchains First-Mover Advantages
  • 9. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 9 . II. Why become a Public Representative? 2 First-Mover Advantages • As the ICON Network is in the initial stage, the genesis P-Reps can take the first-mover advantages. • The genesis P-Reps can acquire ICX at a relatively low cost. Network Development Delegation rate compared circulation (approx.) Amount of ICX needed to receive 2% delegation Early Stage (Genesis) 20% = 800,460,000 x 20% x 2% = 3,201,840 ICX Later Stage (2020. 1Q ~ ) 40 % = 800,460,000 x ( 1 + 8% (circulation)) x 40% x 2% = 6,915,974.4 ICX [Table 2] Changes in the amount of delegation according to the network development stage

  • 16. ICONSENSUS for P-Rep Candidates 16 . 1.Whatis'P-RepPre-registration’? - The registration period is divided into two stages: 'P-Rep Pre-registration' and 'P-Rep On-Chain Registration'. During 'P-Rep Pre-registration', candidates can register in off-chain environment via ICON.Community and receive various benefits. This stage will last until September 2019. 2.Whatis'P-RepOn-ChainRegistration’? - 'P-Rep On-Chain Registration' will begin in 4Q. At that time, P-Rep candidates will need to submit basic information (P-Rep name, team introduction, e-mail, URL) and node information (Node IP, Node Port) on the ICON Network to be registered. 3.WhatarethetermsofbecomingaP-Rep? - There is no minimum requirement to register as a P-Rep. However, in order to become a Main P-Rep who can create and verify blocks, one must be delegated with at least 0.2%of the total ICX circulation volume.
