1963:
J.C.R. Licklider first tested
methods of transferring
government documents
between multiple computers
while working for the US
military.
1972:
Robert Kahn publicly demonstrates
ARPANET, along with Email being born.
1983:
The internet is officially born. Transfer Control Protocol/internetwork Protocol (TCP/IP)
Meant that every network could no communicate with each other, instead of just
government ran ones.
1990:
Tim Berners-Lee develops a prototype for the world wide web.
World renown companies such as Amazon and eBay open there virtual doors.

The world welcomes its first search engine, Google.
2007:
The first iPhone significantly
increases assess, more apps
and data being used. In the future
mobile web traffic will hold half
of the worlds web activity.
2021:
To this day the internet has
roughly 4.5 billion users. It is

letting people connect, share and
a lot more
ACCESSIBILITY
The two schematics shown above clearly indicate in increase of people accessing the internet per country. The
dramatic increase is staggering but also understandable, due to the modern moves in technology alongside
the popular everyday tools associated with the internet.

The three most popular devices used to access the internet are laptop/desktop, tablet and the mobile phon
As modern technology have evolved, so have the popularity in these devices. The mobile phone has
leapfrogged there competitors due to the percentage of owner increase due to there simple accessibility.

SUMMARY
The internet has given consumers and business more freedom to grain and deliver products.
The positives greatly outweigh the negatives, with an ever evolving world this will be shown more clearly.
Personal privacy and security are one of the main negative barriers around using the internet and digital consumtion.

Licklider first tested methods of transferring government documents between multiple computers while working for the US military. 1972: Robert Kahn publicly demonstrates ARPANET, along with Email being born. 1983: The internet is officially born. Transfer Control Protocol/internetwork Protocol (TCP/IP) Meant that every network could no communicate with each other, instead of just government ran ones. 1990: Tim Berners-Lee develops a prototype for the world wide web. World renown companies such as Amazon and eBay open there virtual doors. The Continuous Timeline 1998: The world welcomes its first search engine, Google. 2007: The first iPhone significantly increases assess, more apps and data being used. In the future mobile web traffic will hold half of the worlds web activity. 2021: To this day the internet has roughly 4.5 billion users. It is Forever growing and evolving letting people connect, share and a lot more
