The 2013 campaign is all about “accident”. We had explore the poetry of “randomness” and accident few years ago, while discovering the “water random offset
printing”, WROP, a technique that allows us to generate visual signs directly on the printer machine. For the festival we worked on the relation between visible
and hidden, between censorship and accident. People won’t be able to read the entire communication at the first sight, they need time to discover, by peeling of
layers of images one after the other.

Collage is a truly contemporary artistic media;
fragmented, hypnotic and surrealistic, it seems to be
the perfect technique to symbolize the complexity
that surrounds us.
This book brings together a collection of works that
push the boundaries of what we consider collage.
With varied elements coming together to convey
the urgency of the here and now, it represents a
voyage through the process of deconstruction and
reconstruction that takes us to a new aesthetic,
capable of uncovering fears and contradictions, and
at the same time, capable of laughing at them.

Sometimes an image is more than an image.
Sometimes it manages to capture something deeper
or more playful.
This simple, highly visual book brings together a truly
unique group of works that are more than deserving
of their title: visual poetry.
They manage to catch your attention and reveal a
second layer beneath the original impression. The
book may be small, but the works themselves are
enormously unique.

Urban Marketplaces is a book about the design of
commercial spaces, everything from bakeries to
clothing shops, to ice cream shops, pharmacies and
hair salons. It shows the importance of creativity
when applied to spaces whose objective is to attract
people and create a unique space.
Retail spaces require certain aspects particular to
their usage, but the spaces included in this book
show modern, bold and innovative ways of working
with the challenges of commercial spaces to
create truly unique environments.
The book is presented in files, with graphics and an
informative page for each project, making it easy to
explore and be inspired.

We designed an interior for the FREITAG store in Shibuya, after the
Ginza location. They sell colourful messenger bags and accessories
made from used calash, bicycle inner tubes and used car seatbelts.
The store location faces both Meiji street and Cat street on the front
and back sides. We were asked to feature this unique location and
build the same brand repair laboratory as a parallel establishment.
We decided to work with two themes: “STREET” and “FACTORY”.
By having streets on both sides, we imagined the store interior to be
another street that connects two streets. This meant that the store
would have two facades on each side of the road. The repair laboratory
facing Cat street has detailed projected windows, which makes the
laboratory function like a show window. On the other hand, the large glass
facade places emphasis on transparency towards the Meiji street side.
By removing the paint from the existing frame of the concrete building
and sanding the surface, the rough texture appeared like a wall on old
streets that used to exist. White lines drawn on the middle of the floor
suggests a road extended from outside, meanwhile the street lamp
creates street atmosphere to invite people naturally in to the store.
Repetitively placed V30 display, reconstructed mobile furniture
made from industrial green and solid wood top board, yellow marking
patterns, and drawer-style embedded down lights produce a “creative
factory” feeling.
We attempted to give new value to the store by putting the “STREET”
and “FACTORY” themes together.

Encouraged by their successful Warsaw-based store and internet store,
the owners of RunColors decided to show their offer of limited series of
Nike, Adidas and New Balance shoes to the citizens of Poznanń.
The designers created a concept for their new store in the Stary
Browar shopping centre as a space with a strong connection to the
recognisable RunColors name and logo – the “running colours” theme.
Shoelace – a distinctive feature for the brand - inspired mode:lina
designers to create a dynamic and multicolour installation made of
colourful ropes that remind us of shoelaces. Their prismatic shape
refers to the fast movement of a runner – colourful lines bounce from
one wall to another while also merging into floor space. Dark grey
walls make a great background for a wide range of shoes in different
colours as well as the colourful rope installation.
The store interior is furnished with dark grey painted antiques – it
is an echo of the Warsaw-based shop. Massive old furniture with
tiny colourful touches make a good counterpoint for the light rope
installation.

The portrait is a classic theme in art, one that
sometimes seems as though it has nothing left
to surprise us.
In recent years, however, many artists have
confronted this very art form, using any number of
unique techniques and ways of re-working and
re-looking at this classic symbol.
From portraits made of food or maps to figures that
come from a cassette tape or even profiles that
emerge from a landscape – these are portraits of
today’s people and reveal the anxieties, the irony, the
passions and the vision of our current world.

This is a simple eraser that will make you smile. each one has a face at its center, surrounded by a
square of color, which as the user erases, gradually creates various funky hairstyles, depending on
how you work it. this process not only results in a happy interaction between user and the eraser,
but also reminds people to use their imagination, and that sometimes mistakes can bring humor!

A man with a trunk for a nose, a woman with a bird
for a baby. A flamingo with shapely legs and a rocket
bird poised delicately on a branch, ready for takeoff.
These are only a few of the hybrid images contained
within this collection, which is at once unsettling and
familiar. These dreamlike pieces give us a new reality,
where almost anything could merge together to create
something surreal, yet remarkably intimate.

The book Rewind Press aims to discover the lived
experiences from working with machines that used to
be utilized years ago, showing the most current work
from studios who work with this philosophy.
Current printing processes, in which the uniformity of
techniques, processes, foundations and languages
sometimes seem to obligate us to stubbornly repeat
the same patterns, also seem to be the most fitting for
doing the complete opposite.

Enjoy Your Meal Graphics is a book that compiles the
best design applied to the world of restaurants and
food. It shows the development of all the corporate
images from bars and restaurants; all of the pieces
and details that make up a business like this keep
the importance of graphics in mind in order to attract
people. It shows the creation of a universe where all of
the elements go together to sell food and service and
capture the public’s attention.
Rambla Catalunya 104, Barcelona - SPAIN
In El Passatge, the new culinary offering of the Hotel Murmuri, there is a clear focus on
Mediterranean flair, the cosmopolitan energy of Barcelona and bistro characteristics. The
goal was to reinterpret traditional cuisine, adding freshness and a close and easy ap-proach
to the restaurant business that would appeal to a young, dynamic crowd. The corpo-rate
identity had to reflect these values and present El Passatge as a fresh, young, cos-mopolitan,
Mediterranean and proudly Barcelonese restaurant.
The logo employs a simple play on the hotel’s corporate font, eliminating the serifs
between the “l” of “el” and the “p” of Passatge” to accentuate the passage way between
the letters as an allegory for the passage where the restaurant is located. We brought
in stripes as a graphic element as something very present in marine settings, especially
the Mediterranean. Picasso shirts, stalls on the beach, lighthouses, umbrellas, hammocks…
There are dozens of objects that recall this graphic motif. In addition, to complement
the interior design, we asked nine artists to create nine posters that reflect the charac-ter
of El Passatge, using stripes as a graphic resource, thus achieving additional varia-tion
that complements the graphic language and also brings richness and depth.
Vibes gate 11, Oslo - NORWAY
Bolivar is a small piece of South America served in Oslo through authentic food, wine and
cigars. Inspired by personal travels and experiences, the identity reflects the owners own
impressions of the continent. Joyful, vocal and varied.
Intentionally distorted type — similar to accidental printing errors from pre-digital
days — in the identity and menu titles for Bolivar, gives these menus an avant-garde sen-se
of rebellion and eccentric rhythm. The colorful-but-natural paper color choices, and
use of organic materials help create a warm and welcoming undercurrent for this restau-rant
inspired by the owners impressions of South America.

A plastic cup, a tennis ball, a coin, a pencil.
These are objects that pass through our hands
everyday; we consider them to be simply tools for our
everyday needs. It wouldn’t occur to us to try and use
these objects for more artistic purposes, yet this book
features artists who have done exactly that.
This book compiles works from some of the most
inspired artists of our time, those who have managed
to create art out of just about anything – and who
have managed to find magic in the ordinary.

This collection attempts to compile a group of art and
design projects of various types that show an effective,
innovative use of colour, showing the meaningful effect
it can have when employed with care.

We are entering the golden age of bicycles; formerly
a simple means of transportation, the bicycle has
become a lifestyle symbol in and of itself. More than
ever before, cyclists, both professional and hobbyists,
are paying attention to more than just the technical
aspect of the bicycle.
The aesthetics of bikes and their components are
vitally important to their users, and this has led to
a boom in the design of beautiful and functional
bicycles.
This book explores the rise of this phenomenon, and
gives a look at the design side of cycling – in the
bicycles themselves, and in related products and
cycling-inspired materials

Is it possible for a forest to be blue, for a text to be
made from flower buds, or for a flower to grow from
an electrical plug? Juxtaposing the natural world of
plant life with design makes these images possible.
Plants and flowers have inspired designers and artists
since the very first forms of handicrafts were invented,
but now with the world becoming increasingly urban,
we feel an even stronger urge to reconnect with the
natural world.
This book aims to show innovative and fresh
examples of these natural influences in contemporary
design work.

In today’s world, good and effective design has
become a vitally important part of our world, to the
point where we’re used to seeing highly stylised
magazines, signs, packaging, websites and more. But
even though we’re constantly surrounded by designed
objects, there are still those objects that stand out from
the others. These are objects that are more than simply
pretty or interesting, objects whose intention and
concept was created with a special kind of labour, that
are produced with love.
This book collects a series of different works that are
exactly this, the kind of design is more than a mere
product. The book is divided into chapters according
to the type of work, with categories such as ink,
typography, paper, format and materials. This book
celebrates design that represents the love that goes into
its creation.
Some of the projects included in this book have additional
material in video format. To view them, simply go to the Apple
iTunes store and download the free application for iPhone and
iPad, named “Produced With Love”. Whenever you see this
symbol in the corner of the page, you can use the app to discover
more about that project.
