Edition
Welcome to the Boynton Beach Florida Stake of
Zion Aaronic Priesthood Camp 2023
“With all my heart, might, mind and strength...with an eye single to the glory of God.”
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding Young Men’s Camp this year at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort
Lauderdale on June 5th-9th. It is expected that the boys will be arriving at around 3pm on Monday June 5th and staying
until the afternoon on June 9th at which time the boys will be headed back home.
The YCLs (Youth Camp Leaders), who are volunteer boys - Juniors and Seniors in high school throughout the stake, have
put together a very interesting program for the young men of the stake and you should expect that your boys will come
home with some new and interesting skills, new friends, as well as some very good stories and maybe a few new jokes.
The theme of the camp is from D&C 4, “with all my heart, might, mind, and strength... with an eye single to the glory of
God.” The YCLs have chosen a sailor theme and so we will learn many survival skills needed to live in a tropical place such
as the one in which we live, but the skills will be helpful in any area of the world if needed. The skills the boys have chosen
to learn during camp are: Orienteering, Pottery, Basketweaving, Tool Making, Hunting, Tracking and Traping, Primitive
Cooking, First Aid, and Kayaking.
We have many great activities planned to emphasize the skills, team building, and just to have a great time.

  • 2. Welcome to the Boynton Beach Florida Stake of Zion Aaronic Priesthood Camp 2023 “With all my heart, might, mind and strength...with an eye single to the glory of God.” We are pleased to announce that we will be holding Young Men’s Camp this year at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale on June 5th-9th. It is expected that the boys will be arriving at around 3pm on Monday June 5th and staying until the afternoon on June 9th at which time the boys will be headed back home. The YCLs (Youth Camp Leaders), who are volunteer boys - Juniors and Seniors in high school throughout the stake, have put together a very interesting program for the young men of the stake and you should expect that your boys will come home with some new and interesting skills, new friends, as well as some very good stories and maybe a few new jokes. The theme of the camp is from D&C 4, “with all my heart, might, mind, and strength... with an eye single to the glory of God.” The YCLs have chosen a sailor theme and so we will learn many survival skills needed to live in a tropical place such as the one in which we live, but the skills will be helpful in any area of the world if needed. The skills the boys have chosen to learn during camp are: Orienteering, Pottery, Basketweaving, Tool Making, Hunting, Tracking and Traping, Primitive Cooking, First Aid, and Kayaking. We have many great activities planned to emphasize the skills, team building, and just to have a great time. Ty Swartzlander Camp Director
