1. Home Church: KING JAMES BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH #2 Sampaguita St., San Vicente, Tarlac City 2300
Philippines
Prayerletter for the months of January- March 2015
Rom:13:11-12: And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation
nearer than when we believed.. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of
darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Dear Pastor and Brethren, I hope that all is fine with you and yours. I pray that the Lord bless the
church with strength to rescue lost souls for Christ. In these remaining hours, I trust that the people of
God there are still busy sending out the gospel of Christ in your place and “to the regions beyond” (@
Cor. 10:16). Our prayer letter comprised of some events happened in our church and outreaches with
some speaking engagements. Here we include prayer request and answered prayers.
13th GRADUATION AND RECOGNITION DAY March 2015
The Lord bless our 10 months effort in molding and developing young minds. This coming school year
will again be another year of challenge to
our staff to carry on the task of shaping
young minds academically and spiritually. It
was last March 27th that our Christian
School had our Graduation and Recognition
day. Our 54 students were awarded with
diplomas and medals. Our Kinder and Grade
6 received their diploma while others
received their medals for their achievements.
It is fulfilling to see the kids joyfully
received their certificates and medals while
proud parents accompany them on stage. It
pictures someday in the Judgement Seat of
Christ that we will receive the reward of our
faithfulness and service to God (I Cor.3:11-13). Our prayer that our government (controlled mostly of
Catholics) permits our School to continue so it can serve as an avenue to reach more young people and
parents with the gospel of Christ.
2. BIBLE SCHOOL…On the other hand the Bible School here have finished also another School Year.
About 17 of them reached the finish line. Some of them will graduate and receive their certificate of
Bachelor of Theology others will to proceed to another year level.. This 3 year program Bible School was
formally started by Pastor Ismael Sanchez since 1997. For About 8 years we have our Bible School at
Taloy Benguet near Baguio city. Since we consider the distance and the availability of funds Bro.
Sanchez decided to move the Bible School in our church here in Tarlac City. It produced missionaries,
preachers, and Sunday School teachers here and abroad. Please pray for the wisdom and strength to
pursue the task of training and building young men and women in the ministry of the word.
JAIL MINISTRY. We would like to thank you all praying for our Prison ministry. We have 30 regular
attendees of our weekly Bible study and preaching time. There are two prison buildings here in Tarlac
City, the other one is for the Provincial Jail wherein we have 30 attendees in their chapel. The other one is
for the City Jail wherein we can preach to almost all the prisoners because we use P.A. system whie they
stayed in their own cell. . The Bureau of Jail Management and their Staff here in Tarlac were cooperative
and allowed us to minister to the inmates. We grabbed this freedom cause we believe that God's word has
the power to transform lives and change even the hardest of criminals. About 300 to 600 inmates
everyday receive instructions from the scriptures, the
King James Bible. We give sense to the verses we read
and encourage them to ponder upon to the message they
heard.. This ministry would not be possible without the
dedication and cooperation of some men like Bro.
Arlon Sangalang and Brian Infante.. There is a great
need of Bibles for the inmates and reading materials.
Hope there are believers who can send us literatures,
The cults like JW, SDA, Iglesia ni Cristo and Catholics
are actively introducing there teachings. We don’t lose
hope that the labour of giving the truth will lead the
inmates and keep them from errors.
STREET PREACHING
Every Thursday or Friday our regular spot.is the corner of Tarlac State University, Tarlac City. In spite of
ridicules from unbelievers and carnal Christians by God’s grace we consistently perform this important task. With
the group of Bible Students we proclaim the word of God. The public places in main thoroughfares here are always
filled with students, employees, shoppers, vendors, and motorists. Another spot for public ministry every week is
near a Catholic Cathedral. We praise the Lord for the protection He always supplies.
Last January 12 and 13 about 2 days before the arrival of the Rome’s pope we preached at Tacloban City, Leyte
where the pope will shortly stay. With some soldiers of the Lord and preached against the evil of the Roman
Catholic system. We were warned to stop by the police that time controlled by the Catholics but manage to continue
and passed out 60 thousand Jack Chick about the Papacy. The courage supplied by God is really amazing because
that time the emotion and passion of Millions of Filipinos to see the Pope is tremendous- and we were there to
expose the evils of the system.
3. EVENTS AND SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT. I happened to be one of the speaker in the MISSION
CONFERENCE held at Pilgrims Baptist Church, Quezon City last February attended by 30 plus pastors
and Missionaries. Last week of February until first week of March The Lord also allowed me to visit
Bordergate Baptist Church in Macau and their mission in Hongkong and preached in their Anniversry and
church services. The people there are generous and active in the ministry. Pictures of tracts giving and
sharing the gospel to Filipino some workers in Hongkong.
OUR MISSIONARIES. Please continue to pray for Pastor Rey M. Gulloy and family. They serve as
local missionary at Agoo, La Union a dominant Catholic province. Last November 14 they were already
organized as an independent local Church. Bro. Rey Gulloy is a product of our ministry here in Tarlac.
Few years ago after finishing Bible School (Bible Believers Institute) he proceeded to fulfill his calling in
Northern part. Of Luzon. Brother Rey and his wife manage to create a little business to support their need.
Another local missionary was sent to the island of Marindoque, Brother Jhervin Medallon. Hegraduate
is also a graduate of BBI (Bible Believers Institute). He is now actively engaged in Bible studies and
street preaching, jail and campus ministry. Since it is a Catholic stronghold the place is not easy for him
to get prospects and converts. Please pray that he will continue serving the Lord even in that far flung area
of Marindoque.
THANKSGIVING AND PRAISES Thank you for all the
prayers you have given to my mother Virginia Pascual during
her month-long stay in the ICU fighting for her life. But God has
another plan for her. Last March 9 God promoted her to be with
my Dad. Physically it is a great lost but I thank God he showed in
the Bible the final abode of saved believers. Thank you for the
people who untiringly partnered us in our desire to win more
souls to Christ here in the Philippines thru their fervent prayers
and support. Thanks for all the love and prayers you have
shared.. Only eternity could reveal what you have done in this
side of the world.
Yours truly,
Jonathan L. Pascual ,Ana Pascual and children
