The document summarizes Joemar James' role and responsibilities as the event manager for the video game room at a school funday event held as part of a class project. It details the planning meetings where games, roles, and logistics were decided. On the day of the event, Joemar set up the room and checked students in to keep track of money. Some technical issues arose but most games worked. Students seemed to enjoy themselves. In reflection, Joemar was initially nervous but felt the event went well overall. As event manager, Joemar oversaw the smooth operation of the video game room and helped address any player issues. The room raised $38 from games and $183 from entry fees for a

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

INTRODUCTION
The Adelphi Secondary School physical education class form 5 students was instructed to host a
class project for the school based assessment on the 22nd of October 2015 with each student
taking on the responsibilities of one role as an official in the activity.
The students were required to manage every aspect of the funday such as planning games to be
played, raising money, advertising, as well as supervising each game. For the class project, the
class was divided into groups and each group was asked to decide which department they wanted
to take in control of. Each member of the group was responsible for a certain aspect of the
funday activity.
Our group selected the video department. Throughout the fun day activity, each student was
required to fulfill a report on what they had done and the responsibilities of their respective role.
My School Based Assessment is based on my role as an event manager of the video game room.

HISTORY OF EVENT MANAGER
An event manager is someone who plans and executes the event, taking responsibility for the
creative, technical and logistical elements. This includes overall event design, band building,
marketing and communication strategy. This industry is one of the emerging sectors with a
promising future. When we look back in history, event planning was hardly considered as a
profession and now it is one of the most successful professions in the service. There is no set
time that dates back when the industry has taken a positive turn in the last two decades and has
grown enormously. The entrepreneur website for event planning says the annual spending for the
special events worldwide is estimated at over $500 billion dollars and is still growing over the
last century the massive developments faced by all nations and this has uplifted lifestyles of
individuals and business making it important for the industry. A reason why the industry has
grown is because of globalization. This has added to the national businesses calls on event
managers/event planners to plan their own special event. Event planners are helpful in large
corporations because there are a lot of things that needed to be established on top of work that
might be easier for a planner to do.

EVENT PRESENTATION
I arrived at 8:15am on the funday morning, I met four (4) students including the equipment
manager Aneil marks. When I arrived I took photos of the room that the video game room was
going to held.

16. 15
After taking pictures I arranged the desks and chairs in order with my friends Andre, Vynnel and
Raheed who decided to give me a hand.
o Picture showing students arranging the video room.
Around 9:00am I left the video room and headed over where they were raising the national flag
and singing the national anthem I took some pictures.

17. 16
After I finish taking pictures I went back to the video room and took more pictures of it when it
was finish arranged.

When I was in the video room I cut some small pieces of papers and stamp a logo on them to
give to students to notify that they had pay already.
o Pictures showing me preparing the papers and the end results.
After finishing stamping the papers I place them into a container and start letting students into
the video room at 9:20am. After letting them in I constructed a table with two (2) columns with
18. 17
headings “name& game” and collect the information from the students so that we would know
how much students are going to play. The data collected from students to play video games are:
NAME GAME
Reon Edmon Need for Speed
Romaldo Rogers Need for Speed
Elron Lowis Fifa
Dellern Byron Need for Speed
Kart Matthews Need for Speed
Celine Ambris Need for Speed
Jamine Grant Fifa
Simeon Stephens Need for Speed
Need for speed was the most populated game. I brought my personal gaming laptop with me
for the students to play need for speed, while the equiptment manager provided four (4) more
laptops,so their was a sum of five (5) laptops including mines. A friend of the equiptment
manager name “Jay” provide us with a “sony dlr24” flat screen tv at 9:24am

but the game wasn’t working on the tv good because of bad wifi connection,so we use a laptop
that has on fifa and hook it up to the tv with two (2) wireless controls to play the fifa. There was
also another tv game “playstation 2” but we didn’t have another tv to play the video game so
we gave it back to the owner. The games that was available for the Ps2 are:
19. 18
The incredibles
Needfor speed
Sprinter cell
Avatar
King-kong
Halo 3
Halo
o Games that was available for playstation 2.
But sadly we had no TV. When students were playing games I took pictures of them and they
were laughing and having fun.

o Pictures showing students playing games.
Some problems we had was students eating around borrowed equipments and sitting on the
tables, so I asked them in a respectable way to leave the video room. At the closing of the
gaming room, to say thanks for the support we offered free games for 30minuites and dismiss
everyone after. After everyone was dismissed my friends who helped me arrange the video game
room earlier up came back and assist us in putting back science lab that was the video room back

to normal. From the cost of $1.00 per game and $2.00 for pay and wear, we made $38.00 from
the video game department and $183.00 from the pay and wear with a total of $221.00.
REFLECTION BEFORE FUNDAY
When I first heard of the funday activity in form 4, I was very excited and couldn’t wait for it to
happen, also I didn’t think the SBA’s would be difficult that’s the reason I am feeling good about
doing the subject. The names of students who were doing physical education in form 4 were:
1. Andre Peters
2. Tireik Keir
3. Chantel Pope
4. Kitson Maloney
5. Romero Denny
6. Gosnel Veria
7. Anthony Veria
8. Veron Glasglow
9. Desroy Baccus
10. Darren Hamilton
11. Aneil Marks
12. Regena Andrews
13. Jimonique Haywood
14. Joemar James
15. Shawn Roberts
16. Javan Bute
Out of the 16 students 5 didn’t made it to form 5.the students who repeated are: Andre Peters,
Tireik Keir, Kitson Maloney, Shawn Roberts and Romero Denny. We had to make some changes
to the particular roles of the students.
22. 21
PERSONAL-REFLECTION BEFORE FUNDAY
The days when we were planning the fun day some students suggested “movies” to host on the
fun day event but I totally disagreed of that idea because where they were planning to host the
table tennis room they wanted to put the movie room and the area was very small to hold the
amount of students estimated. On the 22nd of October 2015 the day of the fun day, I woke up
around 6:15am. To be honest I was feeling kind of nervous because I didn’t know if the activity
would turn out how we planned it because students at the school didn’t bring as much
equipments as we needed for the video room until the funday. But instead on panicking I stayed
strong and pray.
23. 22
REFLECTION DURING FUNDAY
Honestly, I do not particularly like to work in groups, but I always give my full collaboration
whenever I have to work in groups with others. In our group most of the members cooperated
while few did not. While picking up the moneys, a student was having problems with the game
so I had to give the equipment manager “Aneil” the obligation to collect the money while I went
to assist the participant. I did this because some of the players were having difficulties and they
needed someone to go through the steps with them slowly how to operate the games. However,
considering the number of persons who authentically helped. The video game room was a
success, it went how we wanted.
24. 23
REFLECTION AFTER FUNDAY
After the funday, I was happy, but before the funday my head was very heavy and after the
funday it felt like the heavy weight went away. Everything turned out tremendous and we
enjoyed ourselves and had the experiences that we needed.
25. 24
APPENDICES
For the advertisement of the funday I created a flyer of the information for the funday with my
graphic design skills.
o Picture showing funday flyer.
26. 25
CONCLUSION
At the end of the funday, our group as well as the form one’s gained an overall insight of video
games. Everything ran rather smoothly. I believe that everyone who was a part of the video game
room, both management and participants enjoyed it vastly.
