2. AIM OF THE PROJECT :
To construct a simple electromagnetic train
based on the principles of electricity and
magnetism.
3. INTRODUCTION
Electricity and magnetism are linked to each other in a very
complex manner. Each can create the other. If we wrap a
copper wire into coils and run an electrical current through it,
we could create a magnetic field. If we rotate a permanent
magnet, inside a coil of copper wire, we can create an
electrical field.
This project illustrates this relation by building an
electromagnetic train powered by a 1.5v battery. The principle
by which the train works is by two laws, the first being
Fleming’s left hand rule and second being laws of
electromagnetism.
