Position: Owner-Self Employed Consulting Business
Started this business in 1985 as a part time business writing custom software for small
Family owned businesses. After selling Specialized Data Systems to Manatron I decided to go full time with this
business and now have customers from all parts of the business world from small Mom and Pop businesses to
manufacturers that gross over 100 million. Wrote many applications like Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control,
Order Entry, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Payroll, as well as custom database programs configured to
meet the needs of the customer. Also build OEM PC's for resale, set up Novell as well as Windows Networking.
Spent the last 10 years refining a program that I sell to the Fuel Oil market, and have acquired over 85
customers in 2 states. I have been slowly moving all applications to the GUI world of windows.
EXPERIENCE:
11/86-11/94 Specialized Data Systems, Inc.-Div. of Manatron Inc.
Position: VP-Research and Development & Special Projects
Responsibilities included: Instrumental in the start-up of the original company and bringing it from a 3 employee,
25 customers, $100,000 dollar operation to a company with over 30 employees, 450 customers and 3 million
dollar operation that serves local government in 35 states and has offices in 8 states. In the early days of
employment, responsible for all R&D, purchasing, testing, setup and delivery of single user and
multi-user systems as well as all program development and technical support. Specialized in Novell networking
and the Clipper/Xbase programming language. Handled bringing our single user style applications written in the
dBASE II language, to multi-user applications written in Clipper. When the company entered the IBM MAP &
IMAP program, selling, supporting, and programming IBM System 36/38/400's, handled all conversion
techniques available to allow data conversions between these mainframes and PC's. Created and
updated all in house function libraries used by our programming staff, and responsible for training and support of
all Programmers. Also responsible for supporting all other staff, both hardware and software support on new
techniques as the need arose. Programmed hand held computers that were sold to our meter reading users and
used for inventory control using the C programming language.
2. EXPERIENCE:
4/83-10/86 HACKNEY INDUSTRIES INC.
Position: Programmer/Analyst
Responsibilities included: In addition to the normal Programming and System 38 configuration and security
changes, responsible for System Analysis and development of new applications for the subsidiary divisions of the
company. Redesigned the On-Line portion of the IPICS Inventory system to be used by the subsidiaries of the
company. Helped develop the necessary interfaces and changes to run the MAPICS Inventory system
(including Inventory Management, Product Data Management, and Production Control and Costing, Order Entry
& Invoicing, Purchasing, and MRP), with the existing Accounting system. Responsible for the purchase, setup,
maintenance, and training of all personnel on the IBM PC and the related software. Have attached 17 of the 75
IBM PC's to the System/38 and modified the PC/mainframe software to make it more user friendly.
Developed many standalone applications in dBase for use in departments where there is a need for individual
databases separate from the mainframe.

Position: Senior Programmer/Analyst
Responsibilities included: In addition to the normal Programming and System 34 configuration and security
changes, responsible for all System Analysis for new applications and aiding the Programmer and Junior
Programmer with their program analysis of applications assigned to them. Designed an On-Line
Inventory system to get the Companies Inventory up and running. Developed necessary interfaces to run the
MAPICS Inventory system (including Inventory Management, Product Data Management, and
Production Control and Costing), with the existing Accounting system.

11/80-7/82 P.M.I. MOTORS INC., DIV. OF KOLLMORGEN CORP.
Position: EDP Manager
Responsible for the supervision and administration of the Data Processing Department including Operations,
Programming, Hiring, and Budgeting. Aided in major programming changes (including the conversion of IPICS
to MAPICS), and did all System/Analyst functions for the company.
Position: Programmer/Analyst
Responsible for the design through implementation of all new Interactive System Programming and applications
utilizing RPGII in an IBM System 34 environment. Proficient with all types of system configuration changes,
security, all SSP and OCL, Disk Sort, DFU, SEU, SDA, and Workstation programming. Designed and
installed an On-Line purchasing system as well as assisting with an On-Line Inventory System. Developed
programs that enabled the IPICS Inventory system to run in and On-Line environment. Responsible for many
On-Line inquiry and update programs for use by all user departments. Other areas of application include
accounting and distribution.

7/79-11/80 PHOTOCIRCUITS INC., DIV. OF KOLLMORGEN CORP.
Position: Programmer
Responsibilities included: The design and implementation of all systems programming and applications for all
Long Island Divisions of Kollmorgen Corporation on their IBM System/3. Areas of application included: Sales
Commissions, Bookings, Payroll, General Ledger, Profit & Loss Reports, Accounts Payable, Inventory and
Backlog. Responsibilities further included flowcharting and procedural zing jobs to aid and increase the
efficiency of the department. Initially as Programmer/Operator, responsibilities included the running of all jobs as
well as maintenance programming and updates. Areas of applications included: Payroll, Accounts Receivable
and Inventory.

7/75-7/79 E.I. DuPont De NEMOURS COMPANY
Position: Machine Spinning Operator
Responsible for the continuous operation and patrolling of a specific assignment on a Yarn Spinning Machine.
Position: Staple Operator
Moved to Staple Finishing through a group upgrade, trained as a Tow Packer, self-trained on the Rotary Cutter,
Luminous Cutter, Logan Baler, and the Baler scales. Trained new personnel on all the above jobs and assisted
supervision with the handling of mechanical problems on these machines. Position: Production Dist. Operator
Responsible for the preparation of at least fifty beams a day to be used to spin yarn on in the Industrial beaming
area.
EXPERIENCE:
8/73-6/75 EASTERN STATES BANKCARD ASSOC., INC.
Position: Lead Microfilm Retrieval
Responsible for the supervision and administration of the Microfilm Retrieval department in a Descriptive Bill
Environment. Duties included: Hiring and training of personnel, scheduling of work flow, and the daily
processing of 1500 Microfilm retrieval items through a three-shift operation. Assisted in the conversion of the
retrieval department from a Country Club Billing Environment to a Descriptive Bill environment.
Designed and implemented a new retrieval system which reduced a previous three to four-week work turn
around to a maximum of four days.
Position: Investigation Clerk
Responsible for the investigation and proper disposition of Master Charge Cardholder and Merchant problems
through the transfer of funds from one bank to another. Maintained input/output reports and logs, monitored
departmental write-offs, and insured all reports, microfilm, and equipment necessary for investigative work.
Conducted correspondence to members of the Interbank Assoc. concerning non-monetary investigative
work and solutions.

Majored in Data Processing with 73 credits earned. Have attained extensive knowledge of IBM's System/3
operations and programming including CCP, COBOL, and RPG II.
