Jockamore is a mainstream podcast where me and my close friend duo a
podcast interview style type show. The content in place of the podcast will
range from advice to other teens whether that may be about depression,
mental health, confessions, love advice and more it will be also about us
talking about different topics each episode. That could be talking about
movies, games college, general life funny stories. I wanted this idea to be
close to home and almost grounded I like the idea of creating new and brand
new stories but I'm a big fan of simple ideas and most of the time they turn
out the best in the end. I have ideas as well to not only upload mainly BBC
but I think the way this idea works it can also be fitted onto Spotify, TikTok
and even YouTube I think more publication can work better for the idea I
have for it.
The show will range from 35 – 50 mins and episode (depends on topic) this
will purplish and release on BBC two. The mainstream audience will be
heavily linked towards teenagers and young adults specially 16 – 20 I find
that market is mostly involved heavily into social media and will work better
for my project. As well as this demographic fits great throughout all of my
projects because they tend to use social media the most than other age
demographics so that is the reason why I'm going for the target audience.
I aim to keep this podcast running for multiples seasons or segments and
possible new ideas can come through each season but for the baseline idea
its mainly me and my close friend ‘ Corey Burnett’ and me ‘Matthew
Bainbridge and I think if the project is well received I would love to also add a
third member but I also have ideas for a guest each episode/segment.

How does this idea/show fit into the
BBC
The BBC nowadays has a such a diverse range of content for everyone out there whether its just
purely binging content or mental health or inspiration talks or reality TV either one there is such a range
of categories in the BBC so I think the idea I'm pushing for will and can fit into the BBC ‘format’.
The principles for BBC are inform, Educate and entertain with my show its doing all of that and more
I'm informing the audience about interesting topic that they made have heard of or be getting more
information about it as well as im entertaining the audience each episode because each episode will
feel different in content, style, format and more I want to keep that fresh feeling so viewers can always
be entertained. I am also educating the demographic on topics that traditionally don’t get talked about
enough so mix and matching with serious topic and fun light hearted one I'm creating a balance in
education for mental heath and advice in episodes, the show will definitely have important structural
basis in important matters whether that’s education, advice, talking and more we will strive for a
balance of entertainment and education with each episode/segment
The show will air after 10pm on BBC two mainly for two reason one due to the fact of the idea I'm going
I know the audience I'm picking tends to stay up later and relax in that time and that’s what I'm going
for after session almost of rewinding and enjoyment as well as it can have some mature topics and
mild language that isn’t suitable for children. I am open to keeping it appealing for kids as well if the
ideas fits that format.

My main inspirations was three main podcast’s types was all
linked through one thing which is connection I found in each of
these three all of them had a stable but connection with the
other person/guest and I found that to be the key to making this
work out for me.
My first inspiration was for more of a visual idea that I could
possibly do the first one is sugar pine 7 which is a low budget
podcast where a group of friends talk about different topics that
come to mind or per episode I like the idea of this one because
the quality of talking with your friends in a normal manner is
powerful and I think that concept to could lead to anything
whether its just a conversation or for mental health reasons
which Is why I think this podcast will work and can fit into the
BBC. Sugar pine 7 is a great podcast due to the simplicity of it
and I think the idea of it being really chill can work for the
audience I'm going for.

My second option and inspiration for the idea is
The joe Rogan podcast. His podcast ranges from
serious conversations about social media, life,
depression and more but has a balance of fun
and chill conversations that I could listen to for
hours I like the idea of a formal 1:1 podcast but
keeping the conversations always fresh and Joe
rogan podcast does just that so it’s a massive
inspiration I would say his content is more mature
than other podcasts but it works for that you get
the sense of importance. His podcast feels
official and like important and that is something I
strive in mine a balance between seriousness
and ‘fun ness’. I like the visual look of his podcast
and I think would work more personally for the
podcast show I'm going for I want elements of
formality and professionalism within that.

My Third and final option is the Jay Shetty
podcast this one I feel is very important to base
and take inspiration from because the whole
podcast streamline is about mental health and
what problems can come from that. His podcast
ranges from love, breakup, guilt, dealing with
loss, losing, winning and more he explains and
has a guest speaking every episode (most) they
both talk about life and there experience's within
that and how they have overcome but I find this
one so enjoyable because of the format I think a
podcast is such a good way of talking about
serious topics making it a split conversation can
really emphasize and strengthen the talk itself. I
highly take inspiration from this podcast and his
motto’s and how he presents himself and I think
my podcast is mainly based on this overall.

So here is my official log for the
show/podcast I think the white
and purple contrast each other
nicely I am open to
suggestions/changes if needed
to be or for the sake of
improvements, but I think the
logo (mine) adds to it and
especially with the bold writing
and I added the BBC logo of
course to make sure people
know this is a BBC show. I think
overall it appeals to anyone its
clean, efficient minimalistic,
simple and more it does the job
for a logo and I'm happy with it.
