assess yourself and you will able how
to determine the strength and
weakness of yourself. Moreover, you
will learn to develop sound outlook in
life.

What is self-assessment?
Self-assessment is an effective
way to develop ones personality.
It provides opportunity to
understand oneself better and to
relate oneself with other
members of the family more
effectively.

Before one can understand others,
he must understand himself first. To
understand himself, e must view
himself as he actually is, and not as
he wants himself to be. In short,
one must learn the art of self-
criticism.

Factors that Influence Ones Outlook in Life
1. In the Mother’s Womb
Recent studies have shown that a baby
inside a mother’s womb develops not
only physiologically but psychologically
and emotionally as well. The mothers
feeling o love or insecurity can be
passed on to the unborn child.

2. At Home
 We learn at home basic lessons in life, such
as love, respect, obedience, cooperation, and
acceptance. Early on, learn to see and
appropriate the beauty of life.

3. In School and among Friends
 The school environment can influence
child’s viewpoint in life. School requires
standard behavior and learning to guide the
child as he/she grows up and develops into a
grown up living.

4. Media and Communication
Television, movies, newspaper, magazines,
radio, and more recently video gaming, texting
and the internet provide information that
educate and arouse public interest.
