Foreword
The internet is a infinite platform of information and this can be
sources easily and conveniently with the right assisting tools.
However besides having the most current and updated tools, there is
a need to have the best applications to go with the tools to ensure
optimal results. This is where the new web 3.0 takes the prize for its
most current and up-to-date facilitating element for the web user. Get
all the info you need here.

The Future of the Web
- 6 -
Chapter 1:
Introduction To Web 3.0
Synopsis
Very simply explained as the next generation rave, the web 3.0 will
make the task of searching for a number of things at any given time,
easier and faster with the least amount of effort put in on the part of
the user.
An example of which is as follows; if the user is making arrangements
to watch a movie and to have a meal out, the browsing exercise will
commence where the user will key in the request to view all movies
available for the desired time frame.
- 7 -
The Basics
Then the user would want to access information on the movies
identified as suitable for the time requested. Once this is successfully
done, the user would then have to browse the web for the suitable
eating arrangements to be identified and the relevant reservations to
be made.
All this is time consuming and required the user to open several
websites in order to finally narrow down the information needed to
the complete outing endeavor.
The web 3.0 is a convenient application that helps the user eliminate
a lot of the steps involved, and gets the information needed in the
fraction of the time needed for the more conventional style of
browsing.
All the user would have to do would be to key in a request of all the
elements needed in one sentence and the web 3.0 will do the rest. The
eventual results will present the user with the complete options, with
the application doing all the work.
- 8 -
Chapter 2:
Moving From Web 2.0 to Web 3.0
Synopsis
Simply described as applications that are built one on top of the other
with better feature included as it evolves these applications are fast
becoming a interesting addition abet rather confusing for some.
However with the introduction of newer elements the end user is
usually able to enjoy better quality information from the browsing
exercise.
- 9 -
Making The Move
Currently the web 2.0 is a read and write web tool that is seen to be
quite compatible to the needs of the majority of the online users. The
ability to contribute content and interact with other web users has
dramatically changes the general experience of being connected
online. Sites such as YouTube and MySpace which heavily rely on
user submissions makes the obvious potential clearly evident, as it
increasingly becomes a welcomed response to the demand of web
users who want the access to be more involved in the information
available.
When it comes to the web 3.0, there are significant improvements
which seem to guarantee the vague elements of web-versioning
nomenclature incorporated in its style. Here the mainstream
intention would be to provide the user with the ultimate experience of
being able to “read, write and execute” web presentations.
However in its abstract form this may be rather difficult to envision,
thus the need to explore it through the basis of semantic markup and
web services.
The semantic markup refers to the communication gap between the
user and the computer program applications. However it can be
rather challenging, presenting information on the web as these
applications are usually not able to provide context to the data and
therefore don’t really understand the relevance of the material and its
- 10 -
merits. however work is being done to create the ideal platform for
the data to be put in a form that is not only accessible via natural
language but can also be understood and interpreted by the software
applications.
- 11 -
Chapter 3:
The Characteristic Of Web 3.0
Synopsis
Ideally meant to be a better and more feature friendly version the web
3.0 is fast proving it’s met in the IT industry. As a constantly evolving
industry the web 3.0 is here to stay for at least the near future.
- 12 -
The Features
Currently being used by Google, Amazon.com and eBay, these big
players have yet to assume the role of becoming the dominant players
as such.
There are currently also other participants such as WebEx,
WebSideStory, NetSuite, Jamcracker, Rearden Commerce and
Salesforce.com. It should be noted that the web 3.0 isn’t just for
shopping, entertainment and search facilitating, but is fast growing as
the business computing convergence on the same fundamentals on
demand architecture as the other consumer applications used.
The API services form the fundamental layer of offerings of the web
3.0 where the services were originally hosted in web 2.0 but now
evolved further to accommodate the demands of web 3.0 instead.
This makes the web 3.0 a significant commodity layer within the
online platform as the web 3.0 matures along with the growing
demands on the services provided the end user will be able to enjoy
many more beneficial features.
The Aggregation services which also form a layer within the platform
offered to the user is where the profitable contributing angle if found
for those using the web 3.0 for this optimal reason. Here some of the
hassle of locating the entire raw API services in done by bundling the
- 13 -
entire various connective element and compiling them into one ideal
presentation.
Application services are again another layer that provides the desired
profits looked for within the new composite of application that bring
functionality from multiple services to help the end user achieve the
intended objectives in a comparatively flexible, intuitive and self
evident manner.
Most users are excited at the prospect to being greeted with
applications and discovering delightfully the delivery of the utilities
that are new and little known but hugely beneficial to them.
.
- 14 -
Chapter 4:
Mechanics Of Web 3.0
Synopsis
With the various different contributing parties racing to provide the
end users will the ultimate online experience the huge leaps and
bounds being made towards enhancing any exercise connected to
these platforms are constantly evolving. The web 3.0 or otherwise
known as the semantic web makes applications like the web 2.0 seem
rather ancient, though this is not to say the web 2.0 is now obsolete.
- 15 -
How It Works
The web 3.0 is being steered towards the focus of being able to
provide the user with a more personalized and easy to use web
access, while eliminating the need for several previously used steps
during the online search exercise.
This is supposed to ideally contribute to the faster and more
efficient searches conducted. This translates to the computer being
“smarter” and can thus better understand what the user is
ultimately searching for and then narrow down the search to
present the optimal desired results.
Simply put the semantic web is able to read the information on the
search engines and software agents by better trolling the Net and
then present the end information in a concise and very niche
manner.
There are some ambitious rumblings of the user eventually being
able to perform all tasks in the virtual world circumstances. This
would ideally mean the user would be able to seemingly physically
walk into a virtual environment to make the desired purchases on
enjoy the desired experiences.
In terms of what it would actually mean to the computer or tool
being used at the time, would be the technological advance where
the elements are in place to eventually replace older applications
- 16 -
with newer ones to ensure the web 3.0 now functions according to
all the new inclusions in the system. This preventive maintenance
will allow the user to keep the programs undated and always
accommodating newer additions.
- 17 -
Chapter 5:
Semantic Web - The Concept Behind Web 3.0
Synopsis
Semantic web also otherwise often referred to as web 3.0 is basically a
web of data. There is a lot of data available online which is not
necessarily used by those engaging in online activities.
- 18 -
Changing It
All the various functions that are usually sought after by online users
are usually centered on the need to refer to several different and
distinct sites for the information needed.
Examples of which would include viewing bank statements, viewing
photos, perusing through calendars and so on.
However if the user wanted to see the photos according to the
calendar while also being informed of the activities slotted for the day
it would not be possible to view everything on one open page
according to the old or even current systems.
This is due to the fact that most users do not possess the web of data
in one controlled application as currently each application functions
separately and individually.
The concept behind the semantic web would be depicted in two
distinctive ways and these would include the use of common formats
for integration and combination of data to be drawn from very diverse
sources and the language of recording on how the data relates to the
real world objects.
The original form of information would then be mainly concentrated
on the interchange of documents to eventually produce all the
intended information needed to be compiled in one.
This then allows the user to start off on one database and then move
through an unending set of databases which are all connected not by
- 19 -
wires but by simply being about relatively the same basic thing. This
way many connective issues can be sorted out online to produce the
one desired piece of information as concisely and informatively as
possible.
- 20 -
Chapter 6:
What’s Next After Web 3.0
Synopsis
Some of the current features that are utilized by the users on a regular
basis would include the fast connection that enable more vibrant
connections, much more content access for the user generated tools,
online sales the can be become measurable and an increasingly
important factor to the economy, keyword enhanced search engine
positioning, click through advertising, social networking sites offered
by the likes of MySpace, Facebook, YouTube and more, where online
communication are facilitated, wikis and wireless devices. All of the
above are considered rather common that expected services to be
enjoyed online almost anytime and anywhere.
- 21 -
What’s Next
However as mentioned the constant need to keep abreast with the
demands of end users, there is always something new being “brewed”.
Hence the birth of the web 3.0 platform, to help this need for further
satisfaction.
Copying most of the already existing elements, the technologies and
trends that make up the basis of the web are now being challenged to
move to greater heights.
While some technologies such as social networking and wikis are
rather tangible to business, others such as emailing, instant
messaging, browser based communications, sear engines, online
marketing are all central to any and every type of business entity in
existence.
Although most of these businesses have yet to completely exploit all
the possibilities the online progressions are capable of providing, it
will does not seem to affect the need for the IT to continue to explore
newer and better tools and applications for the end user.
- 22 -
Wrapping Up
By current online standards most users are able to enjoy an array of
applications that help them get the required needs fulfilled quite
adequately. However with the growing progressive nature of the IT
industry current conditions and achievements are never enough thus
the evidence of constant evolving and revolutionary ideas being born.
We have given you lots of insight into the latest technology. Now go
out and use it.
