Acadia’s interior is comfortable and quiet. Noise is kept to a minimum, thanks to thick door glass, strategic applications of acoustic foam and
refined engine acoustics. Even the wiper blades are designed for low wind resistance, which helps reduce noise. An available tri-zone climate
control system helps ensure the comfort of passengers in all three rows. In addition, Acadia has lots of places to store belongings, including
a spacious glovebox, a bin above the instrument panel, and spaces in the center console, front-row seatbacks and below the rear cargo floor.

Acadia’s SmartSlide™ System lets you slide the second-row seats
forward with one hand, for easy access to the third-row seat.
Standard sculpted and contoured second-row bucket seats are
fore-aft adjustable. Leather-appointed seating for the first and

is available (not shown); it also features the SmartSlide System
and gives Acadia room for eight. The contoured third-row seat has

POWER LIFTGATE: REMOTE OPERATION AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
In addition to controlling Remote Start and keyless entry functions, the key fob controls the
available power liftgate. The power liftgate can also be controlled with a button just inside
the liftgate, or if you’re in a front seat, with a switch in the center console. A built-in safety
sensor stops the liftgate from opening or closing if it encounters resistance.

PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM
The front passenger air bag5
features a passenger sensing system.
It uses a sensor within the front passenger seat to detect the weight
of the occupant. Under a certain weight, the system automatically
turns off the air bag.

SIX AIR BAGS5
Acadia comes with six air bags:5
two front dual-stage air bags and
two side-impact air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger,
and a head-curtain side-impact air bag system that functions
like a protective curtain, unfolding from the roof rail on each
side. Activated by side-impact and rollover sensors, each curtain
includes air bag sections for outboard front, second-row and
third-row passengers.

HIGH-STRENGTH STEEL CONSTRUCTION
The integral body-frame construction makes extensive use of ultra-
high-strength steel—four times stronger than regular carbon steel
—on primary load paths. It also uses dual-phase steel—three times
stronger than carbon steel—in key areas, taking advantage of this
material’s ability to absorb the energy of crash forces.

1 TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
This advanced system keeps track of tire pressure and alerts you to
low pressure through the Driver Information Center — indicating
exactly which tire is low. The system also sends a message regard-
ing tire pressure each time you start the vehicle, letting you know
any time pressure is low. (Does not monitor spare tire.)

6 STABILITRAK STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
To keep you ﬁrmly in control, StabiliTrak is standard. It’s an engi-
neering advance designed to improve safety, stability and control
on most road surfaces. And that can mean a lot in an emergency
maneuver. Sensors read the position of your steering wheel, and the
vehicle speed, brake pressure, lateral acceleration and turning rate,
then feed the data to an onboard computer. If your Acadia is not
responding adequately to your steering input, the computer adjusts
the engine speed and the brake pressure to any individual wheel
to help you keep on track. With sensors that are programmed to pro-
actively predict and help counteract vehicle “tip-up” on a ﬂat road
surface, StabiliTrak can even help to mitigate a rollover.

Carry up to four bicycles with this sturdy carrier,
which conveniently mounts into the hitch on
your Acadia. It features a hand-operated tilt-
down lever to allow access to the cargo area
without removing the carrier or bicycles. Requires
a hitch-mounted License Plate Holder.
4 HITCH BALL-MOUNT ASSEMBLY AND BALL
Secure your hitch-mounted accessories
securely and conveniently with this ball-
mount hitch assembly and ball.
5 ROOF RACK CARGO BOX
This hard-shell Roof Rack Cargo Box gives your
Acadia even more cargo carrying capability.
It mounts easily into the T-slots of the Roof-
Mounted Luggage Cross Rails, which are
available in a separate package. Cross rails
can accommodate loads up to 250 lbs.
6 SUNROOF WEATHER DEFLECTOR
Make the most of your sunroof with this
weather deflector. It deflects road dust and
debris, and is custom molded to flow with
the contours of the sunroof opening. Available
in smoke.

A NOTE ON CHILD SAFETY
Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child’s age and
size. Even with a Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly se-
cured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a
rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active
frontal air bag. See your vehicle Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions
for more safety information.
ACADIA HAS MANY STANDARD SAFETY FEATURES, INCLUDING:
Occupant Protection Equipment All seats have lap and shoulder belts. Frontal dual-
stage air bags for front seat occupants are included on all Acadia models. Head-
curtain side-impact air bags for outboard seating positions in the first, second and
third row are standard. Always use safety belts and proper child restraints. See the
Owner’s Manual for more safety information. Safety belt cinch capability for child
seats and available child seat LATCH system.
Crash-Avoidance Equipment Includes four-wheel Antilock Brake System, Brake/
Transmission Shift Interlock, automatic daytime running lamps, door warning lights
or reflectors, maintenance-free battery, tires with built-in tread wear indicators,
front-seat side-window defogger, windshield defroster, tinted glass windshield.
Theft-Deterrence Equipment Includes laser-etched VIN plate, theft-deterrent steer-
ing column lock, single-key system, remote hood release, marked body parts and
PassKey III®
theft deterrent.
TRAILERING WITH YOUR ACADIA
Acadia is built strong and durable to handle the demands of trailering. Certain
equipment that prepares Acadia for trailering is standard: power steering, power
brakes, a large fuel tank and a 170-amp alternator. For other available trailering-
related equipment, talk to your dealer. You’ll need a hitch ball, mounting head, and
possibly weight-distributing and anti-sway assemblies; these are available through
aftermarket sources. If you have any questions about trailering with an Acadia,
before you buy, feel free to ask your dealer for a copy of the GMC Trailering Guide.
Be sure to read it and use it as a guide before you hitch a trailer to your vehicle.

NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY
All GMC light duty vehicles come with a fully transferable, no-deductible 100,000
mile or 5-year (whichever comes first) Powertrain limited warranty. GM vehicles
registered in the USA are also covered bumper to bumper for three years or 36,000
miles (whichever comes first). See Bumper-to-Bumper, at right. Coverage includes
tires and towing to your nearest GMC dealership. Repairs will be made to correct
any vehicle defect and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. In addition,
rust-through corrosion will be covered for six years or 100,000 miles (whichever

GM PROTECTION PLAN
The GM Protection Plan is the only vehicle service and maintenance contract endorsed
by General Motors. The GM Protection Plan offers Mechanical coverage for the parts
and labor costs of repairing covered vehicle components against failure–even if
it results from wear and tear. Depending on the level of coverage, additional bene-
fits may include Roadside Assistance, Alternate Transportation or Towing. The GM
Protection Plan also offers basic Maintenance coverage for specific maintenance

CORROSION PROTECTION
GMC vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal
components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for six years or 100,000
miles, whichever comes first. Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is
not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your GMC
dealer for terms of this limited warranty.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ALTERATIONS AND WARRANTIES
Installations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle (or chassis) as distrib-
uted by General Motors are not covered by the General Motors New Vehicle Limited
Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer or upfitter is
solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or
any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems or assem-
blies installed by GM. General Motors is not responsible for the safety or quality of

unavailable when your vehicle is assembled, we suggest that you verify that your
vehicle includes the equipment you ordered or, if there are changes, that they are

ENGINES
GMC products are equipped with engines produced by GM Powertrain or other sup-
pliers to GM worldwide. The engines in GMC products may also be used in other
GM makes and models.
