TECH THAILAND, SINGAPORE. May 2014 – October 2014
Social Media Manager & Dive Deck Co-ordinator – Volunteer Role / Fixed Term
• Manage dive deck organisation & planning, mixed-gas trimix blending, deep diving videographer, safety diving
and overall customer hospitality on this busy technical diving exploration vessel based out of Singapore.
Achievements:
• Tech Thailand voted 10th
Best Diving Liveaboard 2015 by Australia diving community.
• Use technical diving and video production skills to create engaging content for social media.
• Generated significant media interest on social media channels including Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo resulting
in national media coverage in the UK, Singapore and Malaysia.
• Worked directly with the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph (UK) on a feature article documenting continued
illegal salvage work in October 2014. I supplied detailed salvage reports, photos and videos for both the paper
and online editions; significant pressure was applied to the MOD to take action and protect these shipwrecks from
further salvage.
• The Malaysian navy pressured by public pressure increased patrols and caught illegal salvage teams at work
resulting in vessels being impounded and multiple arrests.
