• I have had various fisheries jobs in the past twelve years that have been temporary positions,

2015-2016 FISHERIES RESEARCH TECHNICIAN East Lansing, MI

• Participating in a study surveying young-of-year Largemouth Bass in 16 lakes in Michigan.
• This study is assessing lakeshore development in order to determine Largemouth Bass recruitment
and productivity in inland lakes
• Performed night electroshocking for adult and young-of-year Largemouth Bass
• Analyzed gut contents, performed zooplankton and macroinvertebrate taxonomy, aged fish via
scales

• Maintained roughly one hundred watergardens

• Collected larval Walleye on the Maumee and Sandusky Rivers using a neuston net
• Comfortable driving a boat on large rivers

analysis in order to determine barium and strontium concentrations

2007-2011 FISHERIES AQUATIC ECOLOGIST TECHNICIAN Sullivan, IL
Illinois Natural History Survey, Kaskaskia Biological Station
• Participated in a long term research study that evaluated changes in Largemouth Bass and
Muskellunge densities and recruitment in many Illinois reservoirs, helped monitorprey abundance
over time through zooplankton and larval fish collection and identification
• Ran AC and DC electrofishing equipment in order to catch species listed above
• Used ArcView to map vegetation on each reservoir in order to determine aquatic vegetation
density and variety
• Deployed hydroacoustic gear to record gizzard shad abundance on each reservoir
• Deployed and retrieved trap nets to catch Muskellunge
• Surveyed the Chicago Shipping Canal to see if Asian Carp have moved that far North, concluded
that they were not present in that stretch of water
• Performed zooplankton taxonomy, macroinvertebrate taxonomy, chlorophyll a anaylsis, and otolith
removal and aged fish for long term study
