Fascination with the science of getting rich is
something I learned in law school and something I
apply as a business owner.
Life is short. When you discover that success is a
non-linear process, you start questioning WHY,
WHEN, WHAT, and with WHO.
In this quest, I decided to blend my attorney skills
into a new industry: Marketing Forensics. The rest
is history!
Are you ready to learn how to market for
greatness?

Who is a criminal?
Your marketing has been a
criminal in its inability to create
a steady, predictable,
repeatable and scalable lead
generation engine for your
business.

18. Edge Rank
An "Edge” is defined as any activity that occurs on
Facebook that can potentially create a newsfeed
story. This includes Likes, Comments, tags, RSVPs,
or any public activity that a user undertakes.
Facebook utilizes the EdgeRank algorithm to filter
newsfeeds and show posts most relevant to the
user.
19. Edge Rank
When applied to Facebook, it becomes simple. The
algorithm bases it results on three logical
components: Affinity, Weight, and Decay.
With LinkedIn, their algorithm is different. It's
mostly about the quality of your network.
20. Afinity
The Affinity score is measured by the relationship
you have with the user that created the "edge.”
The more interconnected you are, the higher the
Affinity score.
21. Weight
There are two Weight types: post and interactions.
In plain English, this means that comments are
worth more than likes.
For example, when Facebook Places rolled out,
check-ins had a very high default weight for a few
months and your newsfeed was probably inundated
with stories like "John checked into Old Navy."
Generally, after a few weeks or months Facebook
dials the new feature back to a more reasonable
weight.
22. Time Decay
Facebook doesn't like old news. Additionally,
Facebook seems to be adjusting this time-decay
factor based on:
1) how long since the user last logged into
Facebook, and
2) how frequently the user logs into Facebook.
This is why I don't like Hootsuite!
23. key success factors
The quality of your profile, your content, and your
network MATTERS.
* Post real comments to get real comments.
* Use more videos.
* Share your profile and page in external places.
* Be open to expanding your network by sharing
content that speaks to all kinds of personalities.
