Generally, over the course of a calendar year, approximately 70% of the year was spent in pre-sales technical support.During this assignment, I worked with sales teams on account opportunities to develop proposals and sales responses to IBM customer reque sts. This was generally in-person meetings with the client to learn their business and technical requirements for IPC. As a part of the pre- sales support,I was required to develop a high-level design and a project plan and approach for the labor-based services required as well as to generate a detailed bill of materials.   3. 9/2000- 12/2002- NEC (Business Networks Division) - Sr Network Engineer - Working with this Cisco Gold Partner. I was responsible for the design and technical support for NEC-BNS Cisco Sales Force. I also attended all executive sales calls to the customer as their Sr. Cisco network design and implementation expert. Requirements were to meet with several different accounts simultaneously to ensure technical specifications and accuracy for NEC Cisco sales and product delivery. 10/99 - 9/2000 - Level 3 Communications - Network Engineer. - Primary responsibilities were to provide Design and Implementation support for Level 3 LAN/WAN/CMS Systems. Setup and configured local and wide area network devices for security and redundancy through new frame-relay network to NOC (Network Operations Center). Installed multiple point-to-point tunnels on Cisco routers for monitoring LAN/WAN network devices utilizing SNMP traps sent to HP OpenView and Cisco Works Servers at 3 Omaha headquarters and all remote locations. 11/97 - 10/99 - Cisco Systems Inc. - TAC- Network Specialist. - I worked for Cisco TAC (Technical Access Center) and Cisco CRC (Customer Response Center). I received customer calls for technical support for Cisco TAC on all SMB IOS products small/medium business,700 series up to 3600 series routers and all Catalyst series switches. My responsibilities were to res olve TAC cases for Cisco Customers entitled under SmartNet Maintenance contract agreements. Over a period of two years I successfulresolved more than 1500 TAC cases and designed or configured thousands Cisco routers and switches and otherLAN/WAN devices.TAC cases required us to assist customers in identifying improperly configured devices by troubleshooting IP network d esign conflicts and routing issues,or resolving other network outages and performance degradations. RMA Support was extended under Cisco's SmartNet advanced replacement contracts to expedite equipment for failed hardware. Many TAC cases required IOS version updates through remote setup and configuration of network devices, and included remote training of Cisco customers on equipment opera tion and maintenance. Each TAC case was considered resolved only by customer complete satisfaction through "BINGO" cus tomer response forms. I received several awards and a plaque from Cisco Systems through TAC's "BINGO" program, for holding the high est customer satisfaction ratings on the SMB-US team for "timeliness of problem solution" and "overall case resolution". 6/96 - 4/97 - Contact Network - Network Engineer -Major responsibilities were to troubleshoot Remote Access problems encountered by regional employees of VHA Inc. Installed, configured, and supported GroupWise and GroupWise Remote. I also helped to setup terminal sessions to remote locations for frame relay configuration staging on Cisco 2521 series routers. 6/94-11/96 - Texas Instruments – Network Engineer - Major responsibilities were to troubleshoot remote access problems encountered by regional employees of Texas Instruments. I performed installation procedures for Win 95, NT 3.51 and NT 4.0 operation systems. Traveled to remote sites overseas and assisted in the MAC (moves/adds/changes)on devices attached to Texas Instruments global fully meshed frame-relay network with connections to 22 remote cities in 11 countries including Prague, Salzburg, Stockholm, Labuan, Belarus, Munich, Paris, Berlin, Bucharest, and Strasbourg.
