Learning for Life Online has the potential to provide a needed service to users of the Boston Public Library. LLO complements and extends initiatives such as the Public Computing Centers, the Strategic Planning (BPL Compass), BPL’s social media presences, the rollout of the public catalog and the increased visibility of our online collections. It is a low-impact and potentially high-profile way to showcase the BPL’s commitment to 21 st century technologies, and could be a focus for collaborations with other city and neighborhood organizations such as senior centers and afterschool programs.
