Started in August 2012 as a Communications Consultant at Veiligheidsregio Rotterdam-Rijnmond, a non-profit government organisation that houses the fire department, ambulance care and the 112 emergency centre. My job is to manage, maintain and improve all our public websites, develop a new intranet, train the many web editors throughout our organisation, manage press relations and lift our social media activities to a new level. Before I started this job, I used to do a lot of freelance web development and marketing advice.
