Jason Lawrence Meyer a Doctor with Ideal Solutions for Slipped Disc

Slipped disc or Spinal disc herniation is a common physiological problem. Although severe cases
of slipped disc are rare still cases of spinal disc herniation that have minor dislocation problems of
the lumbar disc in the spinal cord are pretty common. Slipped disc is almost always caused by a
strenuous instance. Typically, when the human body is exposed to sudden thrusts of pressure at
the lower back owing to any activity, it causes a slipped disc.

Slipped disc may be caused by a sudden fall that leads to physical injury to the spinal cord and the
lumbar discs. It can also be caused by simple lifting of objects while bending down. Slipped disc is
normally rare among people who do not have demanding physical activities but off late there is an
increased occurrence of slipped disc among people who are prone to sitting for long hours.
Slipped disc occurs when the outer fibrous ring in the spine known as annulus fibrosus suffers a
tear and allows the nucleus pulposus (soft central portion of the intervertebral disc) to protrude
from the outer rings. It happens because of an increase in the pressure exerted on the discs owing
to some activity. While we stand, the spine is aligned properly to withstand even the harshest
stresses of pressure however when we bend or are sitting, the spine is misaligned and the
pressure exerted on the disc increases by manifold times.

Slipped disc or spinal disc herniation is often a temporary disorder and with time it can get healed
itself. However, there has to be several restrictions on what a patient can do and cannot do during
the treatment. Surgeries are considered to be the last option for slipped disc. Apart from the
stringent restriction on lifestyle and activities for an individual, slipped disc is associated with
immense pain. The pain is not just restricted to the lower back but often extends to upper back
and the neck.

Jason Meyer has the ideal solution to slipped disc in the form of chiropractic treatments to
minimize and eventually relieve patients of the pain associated with it. Jason Meyer Lawrence
Meyer is a doctor based in Texas who is a trained, licensed and certified chiropractor. Jason
Meyer runs World of Wellness in Fort Worth and Arlington where patients are offered chiropractic
treatments for slipped disc and various other conditions such as back pain, shoulder pain, neck
pain, pinched nerve in the back or neck, sciatica and even fibromyalgia.
