I have recently returned to Scotland after competing an assignment with GE Oil & Gas in USA.
I am looking for a new challenge or opportunity. I have a strong engineering and business development background and I have specialized in providing technical support to the sales teams on new and innovative product solutions. I have extensive experience developing commercial opportunities in UK and worldwide, in the downhole technology business development sector.
I have considerable experience in the design and manufacture in the oil service sector. My experience covers manufacture, design and post-sales support. My previous roles also involved technical sales duties such as presentations and customer visits.
In my previous roles I provided technical support to customers and the sales managers, which was instrumental in securing large orders. I supported and visited customers worldwide, and the customers varied from small service companies to major oilfield companies in North and South America, Europe, Russia, China and SE Asia. I developed long term respectful relationships with many manufacturers and therefore I have many contacts to develop business opportunities
I have developed many worldwide business contacts in the oil service sector with extensive and varied product knowledge.
I have been involved in various manufacturing projects in the GE Oil & Gas “Center of Excellence” in Houston. My duties involved bringing new products from development stage to achieving high value orders at the commercial level.
In addition, as I have previous experience in a design role, I can apply my knowledge and experience in various aspects, such as Engineering; Technology; post sales customer support; product quality assurance; Technical sales; field testing and bringing new products to commercial viability.
I also have experience in managing project engineering and large sales orders whilst working at Cameron Iron Works in Aberdeen, UK and I am accustomed to becoming expert on new products or systems applying self-motivation and my engineering background.
